The Miramar Entertainment Park is this rather huge shopping mall over in the Dazhi area in Zongshan District of Taipei, Taiwan. I was told one of the attractions was it's giant Ferris wheel so during my trip to Taiwan, I wasted no time to experience this 70 metre (230ft) tall Ferris wheel, the 2nd tallest in Taiwan.

To reach this giant
Miramar Ferris Wheel, just take the Neihu line of Taipei's Rapid Transit System to Jiannan Road station as the Miramar Department Store is located just opposite the station.

So there I was getting all excited to climb unto this giant wheel. It takes more than 20 minutes just to go one full circle. The tickets costs TWD 120 (concession rate because I had this cute youth tourist card) otherwise it will be TWD 150 which is roughly around RM13 - RM 16 Ringgit Malaysia per person.

It was a weekday, hence there weren't many people jostling for a seat. |
I couldn't remember my last experience in a ferris wheel (probably it was at a funfair when I was young), but this ferris wheel was indeed a memorable experience. From the top, we were able to catch a bird's eye view of the whole area. If you're not comfortable with heights, I don't suggest climbing on board though as the carriage took us way up into the sky!

It was truly a memorable experience, one of the many experiences I got from my trip to Taiwan. Watch out for more Taiwan posts coming up.
