So there I was last weekend to catch the press conference for the upcoming biggest night of stand up comedy in Malaysia. Aptly given the title "Harith Iskandar, To Know Malaysia is to LAUGH MALAYSIA" , the show is a tribute to all the fans of stand-up comedy in Malaysia for the past 23 years since it was first introduced to our shores by the great Harith Iskander. A rather new cafe has opened in Taman Desa, and judging from the crowd there Doiffee Cafe definately has its charms and unique points to draw in coffee lovers, and diners alike. I was there the other day, being part of my #cafehoppingmalaysia project, to try out their fares. Well, I had the opportunity to find out first hand on this promotion the other day when I was invited to sample TGI Friday's new Extreme Tacos. Part of my #CafeHoppingMalaysia project brought me to another part of town, this time over at Desa Sri Hartamas where we got to check out Cafe Olle Sri Hartamas. It was a rather exciting affair today with Kodawari Menya Udon & Tempura holding their grand opening over at 1 Mont Kiara with members of the media and guest all dressed in red. Local celebrities were present too, with the likes of Datin Sofia Jane, Daphne Iking, Raja Atilia, Julie Woon, Vanidah Imran, Nancie Foo and Fancy Goh gracing the event. I was at Ikon Connaught Cheras recently, after their soft launch a couple of weeks back to do some weekend shopping with the family. Tokyo Kitchen opened a branch over at Ikon Connaught which prompted me to try out their dishes as I have heard lots about this chain but haven't had the chance to dine in. Not a new outlet in town, in fact it has been around since 2009. Grandmama's at Pavilion KL with the tagline being Flavours Of Malaysia is located on the 6th floor of the mall just next to Baskin Robbins.
