It’s been a while since I’ve dined out, due to the MCO, CMCO and all. However just last week or so, I’ve had the opportunity to try out the delicious offerings from Envi Skydining. Located on the 36th floor (rooftop level) of Menara TA One which is just next to KLCC, the view is breathtaking to say the least. You get a view of the Twin Towers while savouring your meal. Read on.

Locating the restaurant is easy enough, a quick registration at the guard post in Menara TA One and we’re on our way to the rooftop. Envi Skydining’s a rather new multi-concept dining and entertainment establishment, which opened its doors fairly recently in December 2019. The ambiance is really comfy and classy with different sections for the bar and the dining area. Of course, you can choose to dine under the moonlight, overseeing the KLCC twin towers.

Appetizer

We kicked off our meal that evening with some Bruschetta, three variants to be exact. We had the Cream Cheese with pear & Walnut, Spicy Eggplant and the Creamy Mushrooms bruschetta.

My favourite would be the Spicy Eggplant, coming from someone who does not exactly love his eggplants. The ones here were just so fragrant with just enough spice to make it a really good nom. Are we having Italian tonight? I asked. 

Mains

In the mood for more Italian-ish fares, up next, some really yummy Smoked Duck Breast Pizza. Now this is really good pizza, as the base was so thin and crispy it made the toppings very appetising. Yummy pizza, I truly enjoyed the taste and flavours of the smoked duck breast. The generous cheese made it even better.  You can go for their other flavours as well, from the Beef Salami with Chilli to the Quattro Cheese pizza.

While we were still on our pizza, the subsequent dish came in a rather peculiar aluminium foil wrapping. Upon opening the foil, our sights rested on a huge platter of Linguine Seafood. Perfect for seafood lovers, there’s a variety of ingredients inside to whet your appetite. The fragrance itself made us drool for more.

Ah, my favourite. Any meal out at an establishment like this wouldn’t be complete without trying out their steak. We had the Black Angus Rib Eye, served medium, the meat was just oh so tender. My type of nom, have it with some red wine, while staring out towards the KL skyline. Nothing can get better than this.

Bring in the dessert!

Dessert please, we had the Tortino, molten chocolate brownie served with vanilla ice cream to end our rather heavy meal out at Envi Skydining.

Oh did you know they serve some incredible valued lunch sets as well? Priced from only RM13.80 per set, it includes complimentary iced lemon tea, local coffee or tea. 

They have these local favourites, from Cantonese Fried Noodles, Penang Fried Kuey Teow, Hokkien Fried Noodles to the Pineapple Fried Rice which we tried that evening.

Envi Skydining’s restaurant section can be booked for private functions such as product launches, press conferences, corporate dinners, weddings, and even grand birthday celebrations. Depending on the layout, the restaurant section alone can seat up to 200 pax. 

They even have a club section to let your hair down and party on the dance floor to the tunes of their in-house DJ as well as guest DJs who visit during special occasions.
