Formosa Taiwan Restaurant Sungai Wang

Image
Yet another blog on food? Yes! Because food is what makes the world go round and people happy, so yea tonight's post will be about food. This time, it's this quaint cafe inside Sungai Wang Plaza called Formosa Taiwan Restaurant. Logo taken from the menu folder View from the front Since Formosa is marketed as a taiwanese food serving restaurant, the decor and food actually bears a significant resemblance to Little Taiwan. It was my first time here, so naturally I picked up the menu and ordered some of my favourite dishes. The food menu they gave me was in a very used condition, which kind of reminded me of my old second hand textbooks. I suppose this is a good thing because it means there are so many customers that the menu actually get worn out. The menu which was heavily used as can be seen from the condition My dinner partner After like browsing through the menu and glancing at the various food available, I decided and ordered my dishes. The serv...

A couple of days back, I was really surprised and happy to get an invitation to Nuffnang's Sharing Session for bloggers to be held at Frames Cafe Sunway Pyramid tonight. I was really psyched up also because there were invited guest bloggers as well, namely Audrey from Fourfeetnine.com , Cindy from Teycindy.com and Cheesie from Cheeserland.com . Check their pics courtesy of Nuffnang's website below.  Audrey, Cindy, and Cheesie Imagine my surprise then when I reached Frames and found out there was another invited guest blogger. It was famous Singapore blogger Xiaxue aka Wendy Cheng from Xiaxue.blogspot.com in person! Below is the picture I took off her blog header. Xiaxue herself The session began at 6.30pm after a quick registration of names. A total of 20+ bloggers were invited and everybody was so excited about getting to know each other. Friday By Rebecca Black The New Online Sensation

Image
"Looking forward to the weekend"! This phrase ended the "Friday" song by Rebecca Black which was kind of what I was feeling yesterday actually. I've only heard about her like a few days back due to massive amount of mentions over the internet which got me interested to listen to her song Friday. Rebecca Black is this amateur Youtube musician who's popularity soared for her online music video "Friday". When I checked her Youtube video this morning, the number of hits were at 17354854 hits! The cool thing was, she's just 13 years of age, which kind of reminded me of Justin Bieber. How's that for getting famous via social networks and the internet! The video was originally posted on Youtube in mid February 2011. From internet to stardom! Do check out her music video below. Also I've included the lyrics. The song itself to me is kind of catchy, monotonous maybe, but it'll keep ringing in your head after listening to it. Maybe I...

Leong Ya Indah Restaurant Serdang

Image
The other day, I was at Cyberjaya to visit my brother, Ivan at his university. It was nearing dinner time, and I remembered t his coo l chinese restaurant at Serdang, just opposite Mines which serves one of the best paper wrapped chicken (Chi Pao Kai) around. Since my brother had never been to this restaurant before, I brought him there that night. The restaurant is called Leong Ya Indah, gps c oordinat es 3°1'30"N  101°43'1"E (got this off the internet) I used to frequent this place often during my uni years some 9 years back. I was pleasantly surprised to see the restaurant still bustling with people, and my favorite paper wrapped chicken is still available as well! Paper Wrapped Chicken @ RM3 each Sorry, I couldn't help it, but I loved the chicken so much that I had to put the picture of it first! To order the food, there was a menu prepared, with pictures, so it was fairly simple to order what we wanted that night. Have a look below on the sim...

The movie tickets were won via a contest held by Nuffnang. World Invasion: Battle LA So there I was around 7pm, just in time to catch dinner with a great bunch of bloggers who won the tickets as well. Sharp at 8pm, we were all up there at GSC Cinemas queuing to collect our tickets. Mr Ticket Issuer (Robb) The free merchandise (I chose the T shirt!) Check out my new free Battle LA T shirt! 1 for the memories (Pic from Carmen ) 2 for the album (Pic from Carmen ) The movie started at 9pm sharp. Battle Los Angeles, the title itself conjures up images of war with lots of heavy artillery, and that is pretty much what the movie is about. In a nutshell, it's a movie of these hostile aliens coming to Earth for its natural resources. Without any introduction, the aliens starts bombin...
