Hey, it's still October, and that can only mean Oktoberfest 2012 is still on-going at nearly all the pubs and restaurants around town. Well, tonight I had yet another opportunity to catch up with fellow bloggers and friends at Laundry Bar The Curve over some nice beer and food. Read all about it here.
Killkenny, Heineken, and a whole lot more
Arriving at Laundry Bar at the Curve after attending the Charriol Geneve New Boutique launch in Starhill Gallery, I was pretty pumped up with the prospect of some nice hot food. The weather wasn't exactly dry and it rained heavily, but it was all good as we were sheltered inside listening to the live band playing while gulping down all these drinks.

I like this drink, Paulaner, which to me felt way smoother than the others.
So there we were, familiar faces and new faces, all happy faces just seated at the table enjoying our drinks. I for one am really happy at the prospect of meeting new friends, and it was good to note all my new friends were really nice folks. Do check out some of the food from Laundry Bar that I tried out as below.
#1 Seafood Risotto
#2 Steak Strip, medium
Having some hot food, with jugs of beer on a rainy night with a bunch of really happy folks with live band music, now that's something rather special. The Seafood Risotto that arrived looks good, with the prawns, clams and all. I didn't really find the seafood all that appetizing though, as it lacked that certain freshness. The same cannot be said for the steak though, as I totally loved it. I'm a meat lover, and steak done medium cooked served on a plate, how can I say no to that!

I see more happy people here, all with their glass of beers
Overall it was a really nice night out with bloggers and G2 folks. Even though it rained heavily, all we had to do was to raise our voice a tad louder, and everything became cheery again. Now that's what I think the Oktoberfest celebrations should go, good food, music and beer with great friends!
