Glenmorangie Orange Sultry Swing Party

So I've been to a couple of Glenmorangie orange themed parties before and it has all been memorable probably due to the single malt delight. "Unnecessarily Well Made" Glenmorangie theme always leaves a lasting impression. Check out my previous writeups of past parties, (Glenmorangie Orange Retro Funk Party) and (Glenmorangie's SOUNDFORM Fluid Bar Showcase). This round I had the privilege to attend the Glenmorangie Orange Sultry Swing Party at The Hill Damansara Heights tonight.

It was actually my first time stepping into The Hill at Damansara Heights even though I've heard and read a lot about it. A pretty good venue for partying, eating or just chilling. I wasn't one to decline an invitation to experience free-flow Glenmorangie hence there I was reaching the venue just in time to see funnyman Douglas Lim start his MC'ing.

The night featured some good tunes churned out by Asquared, there were smiling faces all around, and even wider smiles as the night progressed on, probably due to happiness of Glenmorangie. I pretty much liked some of the games to choose the best dressed male and female. It had everything to do with these shriveled orange carrots.

It was pretty cool that the winners of the carrot eating contest get to walk away with a bottle of Glenmorangie. All the had to do was to eat the orange carrot in a sultry manner, easier for the ladies, tougher for the guys. Pretty good fun I would say, which got everyone present there double up in laughter.

It was a night of Orange Sultry Swing, a distinctive flavour of a Swing and jive experience for all single malt lovers. A good night out, one which was on Merdeka eve, which is also an eve to a public holiday. Nothing can go wrong tonight, except probably for that glass of Glenmorangie which I accidentally spilled unto the floor. Good night indeed, and here's looking forward to more parties and events by Glenmorangie in the future!

  1. Nice one bro! I love single malt Scotch whisky - all kinds, though I tend to lean towards Islay malts. :)

My latest purchase a couple of days ago was a travel exclusive - the 2nd release of Old Pulteney Isabella Fortuna WK499.

I've had Glenmorangie too, unfortunately have only tried the 10 year old expression, would love to taste the others in the range, especially the 25 year old. :)

Looks like a fun party bro!
