Early this month, it was my dad's birthday and he so happened to be with us in KL, hence we brought him out for a nice Bak Kut Teh dinner at Chuan Kee Restaurant along Jalan Genting Klang before surprising him with a simple birthday cake at home. It was a nice dinner, which I hoped that will make daddy happy.

It was a nice feeling celebrating with the family, especially since mum, Janice, my brother and baby Karlson was around. Baby Martin happened to be back in Penang that time, so it's unfortunate he's not in the pictures. But of course I'm expecting many many more years of birthday celebrations, so Martin will definately be in the picture!

It wasn't my first time dining at Chuan Kee Restaurant for their Bak Kut Teh, which isn't exactly the best especially if you're comparing with the ones at Klang. But they're okay, and aren't too bad judging from the steady crowd coming in the restaurant. I actually find the soup a tad too diluted for my liking.

There were about 6 of us there that night, and thankfully the bak kut teh ordered was enough for us. I especially like "eu char kueys" with my bak kut tehs, and ordered more than 1 serving of it. Check out some pictures which we took at the restaurant that evening.

After a filling meal, we adjourned back home for the 'after-party', where I brought out the very simple cake to celebrate with dad and the family. A birthday song later, the candle was blown and a wish was made. I would not say everything is perfect, but celebrating home with family is indeed satisfying. Happy Birthday Dad, and here's wishing you the very best of health and wealth, and many many more birthday celebrations ahead.
