It was definitely an evening to remember, where we got a chance to dine over at the Samplings On the Fourteen Restaurant at Berjaya University College for a repertoire of specially crafted delicious recipes using California Raisins. What makes it even more awesome is the fact that the recipes were created by 2-star Michelin celebrity Chef Emmanuel Stroobant along with guest Chef Erich Anton Roos. Read on.

Arriving at Samplings On the Fourteen Restaurant at Berjaya University College, we were treated to a California Raisins welcome drink which went really well with some pastries provided before our main meal. We were to be treated to a four course dinner with the centre theme being the California Raisins.

Dining with the chefs, an eye opening experience indeed, and to watch 2-star Michelin celebrity Chef Emmanuel Stroobant demonstrate cooking our cuisine for the evening is pretty awesome.

Did you know that Chef Emmanuel Stroobant is Belgian’s 2-star Michelin celebrity chef where he started working as a kitchen help as young as 16 years and worked his way in the culinary world within a span of a decade? I’m sure you have caught his shows on AFC channel before!

Chef Erich Anton Roos was at hand as well, dishing out deliciously sweet desserts. He’s a Swiss national with 40 years of culinary and international working experience which covers many Western and Asian countries. Currently based in Bangkok, his role are focused in consultancy and strategic planning for kitchen training needs in international hotel chains.

Wowwww!!! So many lovely dishes. So far, I only use raisin to cook our Sarawak's own daging masak hitam...and the yellow nasi kuning/ghee/kunyit.
