Arriving at the restaurant, we were taken in by the look and feel of the place. It has that watering hole bar like ambiance, yet with a nostalgic wood-like furnishing and ambiance. The food here were pretty authentic.

We kicked off our meal with the Yum Som-O Thai Pomelo Salad, a refreshing kick to your usual appetiser. The salad itself consisted of many different flavours, salty, sourish, and sweet. Good stuff, wait till you see what they had to offer for the mains!

Grilled Skewers

Give me those skewers! Grilled meat skewers are the perfect match for some chilled drinks, beers will be best. We had an assortment of grilled meat on skewers, from the really good Black Angus Ribeye, Australian Lamb Shoulder, to the Australian Beef Tongue, Thai Herb Pork Ball, Pork Intestines and my favourite, the Pork Belly. The marination and flavours really seeped into the meat giving out a good aromatic and tasty offering.

Rice lovers would do good to try out the Pork Trotter Rice, a local favourite Thai street food. It’s the restaurant’s version of Kha Moo set featuring Thai styled braised pork trotter, kai lan vegetables, Hanjuku egg on top of fragrant Thai jasmine rice.

Bring forth the Burgers!

Tommy Thongchai’s chef brought out the Krapao Pork Burger next, a classic Thai bail leaf dish turned into a burger with some really juicy krapao pork patty. Served with fried eggs and fries on the side, this would make a good meal on its own!

We also tried out the Tom Yum Bolognese Spaghetti. I do feel tomyum spaghetti is really very unique. These innovative pasta creation consists of tomyum pork with a myriad of homemade meat balls. Not bad at all.
