Morganfield’s Malaysia - New Menu Launched
Just recently, one of my favourite spot in town to have good noms,
Morganfield’s Malaysia revamped their 2018 menu. It’s with great delight then that I was invited to savour their offerings thanks to
Foodilifecious. Good stuff, from porky salads, to slabs of baby back ribs, it was a good night out indeed. Read on below to see what we savoured that night.

New Menu Launched with 40 new items! |
If you haven’t been to any of Morganfield’s outlets yet, you’re definitely missing out on some great yummy food. It’s non-halal, so bear that in mind. We dined at Pavilion KL’s Morganfield’s that evening, and the ambiance was good. The service is awesome too!

Sticky Wings
 |
Sticky Wings - RM22.90 |
We kicked off our meal with their appetisers, some tasty Habanero Wings. These are aptly named the Sticky Wings which came in various flavours from my personal favourite the Golden Egg Crunch, Honey Soy and Fiery Habanero. The Golden Egg Crunch had these velvety golden salted egg stir fried with fragrant curry leaves. Lovely! The other two flavours were equally tasty, especially if you love the savoury combination of honey, soy and vinegar, go for the Honey Soy! Spicy food lovers would do good to go for the Fiery Habanero Sticky Wings.
Porky Salad
 |
Porky Salad RM28.90 |
Such a contrast, on one hand, one would expect a plateful of salad to be filled to the brim with veggies. On the other hand, when we see “pork” on the name, our expectations change. I was pleasantly surprised with how loaded this Porky Salad is, loaded with lots of roasted pork belly and pork lard! Served together with fresh greens, cucumber sticks, avocado, cherry tomatoes, almond flakes and sesame seeds tossed with spicy soy vinaigrette. I wouldn’t mind another platter of these.
Mussel Kilpatrick
 |
Mussel Kilpatrick RM24.90 |
If you’re a fan of mussels, then do go for this Mussel Kilpatrick appetiser. Whetting our appetite for the mains to come, the mussel lovers amongst us present dug into 6 green mussels sautéed with smoked bacon and sweet sour tomato sauce topped with cherry tomatoes. I’m not a big fan of mussels though, I shall reserve my comments for the next dish.
Bring in the Mains!

Citrus Mojito Baby Back - RM69.90 |
An interesting twist to the usual way we have our ribs, the Citrus Mojito Baby Back came on a wooden platter, looking all fine and yummy. These sticky, apple scented ribs are slow cooked in the oven, then finished on the grill covered with chunks of fresh cut diced green apples. How interesting! I’ve always liked how Morganfield’s prepare their meat. Needless to say, these are so tender, literally falling off the bone. Good stuff!
Captain Catch Mini Platter
 |
Captain Catch Mini Platter - RM102.90 |
Meant for sharing, even though there’s a “mini” word in this dish, to me, the Captain Catch Mini Platter is anything but mini! The platter consist of a half slab of spare ribs & quarter chicken, together with beer battered white perch fish fillets, spicy devil sausage, herby hog sausage, garden salad and crispy French Fries. Meant to be shared by up to two person, it’s definitely a hearty meal for two. Love the spare ribs (we got to choose whether to have Hickory BBQ, Garlicky BBQ, Smoked Peppercorn, Asian Charred, or Rib Rub)
Sizzling Rib Eye
 |
Sizzling Rib Eye - RM69.90 |
Ah my all time favourite, the steak. Up next, the Sizzling Rib Eye was served. Pictures do not do justice to the meat, as it was served already doused in lots of homemade mushroom gravy. Top choice non-frozen Australian Rib Eye was used, grilled to perfection, served with caramelised onion, red skin mashed potatoes, sliced eryngii mushrooms, (yes, what a nice mushroom!) and garden veggies.
Smokin’ Duck Pasta
 |
Smokin’ Duck Pasta - RM29.90 |
Not bad at all, the Smokin’ Duck Pasta is tossed with generous amounts of sliced smoked duck breasts, pork lard, sugar peas, chopped onions, tomatoes and garlic. The pasta is filling indeed, and after all the meat we had previously,, this definitely filled up the stomach. But we are not at the end yet!
Burgers delight!
 |
Southwest Chicken BLT - RM32.90 |
We want our burger with thick patties, and thats exactly what we got. Between the breads of the Southwest Chicken BLT Burger, we had one huge chunk of boneless chicken thigh marinated with a special blend of seasoning. Poultry alone is enough, we want our pork, and there we have pork bacon strips. Ah! Lovely, served with crispy French Fries and coleslaw on the side, I’m a happy camper.
 |
Roasted Pork Belly - RM22.90 |
 |
Another view, because these deserve multiple shots |
To end it all, we skipped the dessert, and had one of my all-time favourite dish instead. Yes, you guessed it right, one platter of Roasted Pork Belly coming right up! Who can resist such delicious meat, yes? Premium pork belly rubbed with salt and spices which are slow roasted to perfection. Crispy skin, these succulent pieces of meat made my day (or night) complete!
