A Pizza Masterclass With Chef Federico

A whole bunch of us were invited to learn and join in a Pizza making demonstration by Chef Frederico the other day. Mission Foods took the effort to partner with an Italian Chef considered a maestro in his field, Chef Federico Michielleto, of Marble 8 and Marini’s on 57 fame. At the rather exclusive Masterclass, he imparted tips and tricks from his 25 years of experience on how to create the best pizzas based on his most sought after recipes.

What did Chef Frederico make? At the Masterclass, Chef Federico adeptly demonstrated Tandoori Chicken Pizza with Sour Cream and Onion, Tom Yam Prawn Pizza with Pineapple and Apple Strudel Pizza with Pecans and Cream Custard. Although the toppings were delicious, the pizza crusts held their own, lending a crispy texture, and a delicate yet extremely flavourful dough, pulling all the ingredients together. Check out some of the shots of the pizzas below.

“We’re very excited about our new Pizza Crusts and hope to inspire more people to prepare food to be enjoyed at home by taking away the hard part of preparing the dough. Now anyone can make a pizza at home, even a novice cook, and we’re here to make that happen,” said Randall Tan, Brand Manager of Mission Foods South Asia on the new launch which was held at The Cooking House Bangsar recently.
