My first time dining at Shang palace, Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur, and I'm already impressed with the luxurious ambiance. Chinese New Year specialities and prosperity set menus are in place at Shang Palace, Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur to welcome the Year of the Rooster on 28 January 2017. I've had the chance to savour their set menu earlier, and it's pretty good. Check out below on what we had that evening.

Now the Braised White Cabbage with Fish Maw in Golden Broth is a tad different from the usual Chinese New Year set menus that I've savoured over the course of this three weeks or so. Interesting, and delightfully tasty, we had these luxurious fish maw served in a plate filled with braised white cabbage and golden broth. Good stuff!
