Suria KLCC Christmas Launch - Lighting Up The Tallest Christmas Tree In Malaysia

Suria KLCC Christmas Launch

It's December already, and that can only mean Christmas is coming! Suria KLCC had their Christmas launch last week, with nice decorations, complete with Christmas trees and all. That includes the Tallest Christmas Tree in Malaysia which they lighted up on the evening of the launch event. Suria KLCC has developed different Christmas themes through the years, and this year's one is themed Santa's Village. Check it out below.

Santa's Village @ Suria KLCC

A cluster of small cottages, shops and artisanal buildings with Northern European influenced architecture has been built at Suria KLCC centre court. Christmas trees beautifully adorned with ornaments greet shoppers' eyes with brightly coloured lightings to create a festive atmosphere. We were treated to some performances on the night of the launch.

"ANGSANAcare rely completely on public and corporate donations to continue providing free services to their patients. Our aim is to raise RM10,000 through the sales of gift boxes from 26th November until 26th December," Andrew Brien, Executive Director / Chief Executive Officer of Suria KLCC said during his speech.

Shoppers and visitors of Suria KLCC can do their part to make a difference in the lives the underprivileged individuals. Just donate RM10 for a gift box, write down your name on the gift box and place it at their Christmas art installation decoration on ground floor Park Mall entrance of Suria KLCC. 100% from the proceeds collected will be channeled to ANGSANAcare.

We were ushered outside to the KLCC Esplanade soon after the launch to witness the lighting up of the tallest Christmas tree in Malaysia. A 32 meter (100ft) Christmas tree majestically grace the KLCC Esplanade just out the main entrance to Suria KLCC. This Christmas tree had been recognized by the Malaysia Book Of Records as the Tallest Christmas Tree in Malaysia in 2014 and 2015 and is a gift from Suria KLCC to all shoppers and visitors.

The Christmas tree will be up at the KLCC Esplanade until 3rd January 2017. Standing at 32 meters in height, 14 meters in width, 12.2 meters in diameter and 14,698 kg in weight, the tree is adorned with 2500 baubles, 3714 garland leaves, 40000 LED bulbs and 319 pieces of star shaped LED lights. Now that's a mean feat if you ask me. Members of the public can tag #tallestXmastreeSuriaKLCC when sharing the photos on social media.
