Seven Seas #DontWorryMom Campaign Launch @ Kidzania

Seven Seas recently held a media launch event at Kidzania to kick off their collaboration with social cause advocate, Syed Azmi Alhabshi, for the the #FreeCanteen programme where approximately 6,000 kids from selected schools nationwide will benefit from. I had the privilege to join them for the first time, even though I've heard of this brand for the longest time.

Studies have found that low income pre-schoolers (4-7 years old) and school aged children (7-10 years old) were found to have the lowest intakes for most nutrients and the highest percentage that did not meet energy and nutrient recommendations.

Through the #FreeCanteen programme, underprivileged kids from selected schools will be provided with one free meal during recess, while also being educated on the value of a nutritious meal and the benefits it can bring to their general health and well-being. At the event, we saw a short drum performance, the launch by Richard Lee, General Manager of Merck Consumer Health division and a short session with Amber Chia and some notable mum figures.

"At the core of the Seven Seas philosophy is the belief that a healthy life begins with great nutrition. In line with these beliefs, we are pleased to join hands with Syed Azmi on the #FreeCanteen programme to provide proper nutrition to young kids who are in need. It is also a great opportunity for members of the public to get involved in a worthy charity project," said Richard Lee, General Manager of Merck Consumer Health division.

Seven Seas, one of the health supplement brands under Merck, has pledged to contribute RM1 for every unit of Seven Seas Kids products sold between 1 April to 30 June 2016, in support of the #FreeCanteen programme. Now we can do our part for charity just by purchasing their products.

With more than 80 years experience, Seven Seas understands the nutritional needs of families at different stages of life. Backed by scientific expertise and high standard of excellence, an extensive selection of nutritional supplements has been developed to meet the needs of children and provide them with nutrients for healthy growth.

At the event, Seven Seas' first ever short web film, in line with the brand's objectives to alleviate the worries of mothers in raising their children, was launched. The video tells the heart-warming story of Sara and her mother. The brand's hashtag #DontWorryMom is reflected in the video, which I've taken the liberty to embed above. Do watch it!

  1. My girl takes their supplements...to make up for her not-so-regular meals, always so busy with her work. :(
