Czech Culinary Experience @ Vogue Cafe, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel

Just a couple of days back, I had the chance to taste some rather nice Czech cuisine during the launch of the Czech Culinary Experience @ Vogue Cafe, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel. Happening from 24 to 29 November 2015, the week-long culinary experience will feature guest Chef Jan Michálek, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kuala Lumpur.

Czech Culinary Experience 2015 offers a tantalizing array of indigenous Czech dishes. Coming all the way from Prague and bringing with him a wealth of experience, Chef Jan Michálek will whip up a selection of traditional and contemporary Czech cuisine

Diners will have the option to choose from an exclusive a la carte selection for lunch and dinner, or enjoy the diverse selection available at the dinner buffet. We got the opportunity to sample their buffet spread that evening, so here are some photos I managed to snap that evening of the Czech cuisine.

At the buffet, enjoy Šunkový kornoutek s křenovým krémem (Chicken ham roll with horseradish and cheese cream), Houskový knedlík (Bread dumpling), Bramborák (Potato pancakes), Skořicový krém s jablky (Cinnamon cream with apples), Becherovka řez, limetkový sorbet (Becherovka lime sorbet) and more. Now, there are some very tough to pronounce Czech words on the menu. Rest assure, the food is delicious, some need to have a more adventurous palate, but all's good.
