Bistro Richard @ Sentul Park, KLPAC

Christmas is just around the corner, with restaurants and cafes coming up with special christmas set meals and menus to spread the festivity cheer. Over at the very secluded, romantic yet homely Bistro Richard @ Sentul Park, KLPAC, they offer some nice Christmas offerings off their menu as well. We were there the other night for a taste of their fares, and it was good. Check out what we had below.

Love the environment
Love the environment

Located at the same vicinity as KLPAC in Sentul Park and Samira by Asian Terrace, Bistro Richard has to have one of the best environment, complete with water, lots of greeneries and stones. Lovely spot for that romantic date or a good family outing.

Inside it feels like Christmas already

Arriving at the restaurant, I felt like Bistro Richard is decorated to fit the Christmas theme all year round. Even the table cloths had that red holiday feel to it. We were greeted by the owner, Mr Richard, and ushered promptly to our seats to try out their fares.

Escargot - RM28
Escargot - RM28

We kicked off dinner with Bistro Richard's signature dish, the Escargot . I was told it was a bestseller there, with most diners who came, would definately order these. I'm not a big fan of escargots though, but the ones here were nicely prepared with loads of garlic with yummy crunchy garlic toasts on the side.

Black Mussels Soup - RM28

A rather large bowl of Black Mussels Soup came next, with countless portion of black mussels served  with tasty fish broth. Made from boiling and simmering actual fish bones for six hours straight, the soup is good. Two garlic toast is placed on top, going really well, dipping into the soup.

Seafood Paella - RM85 (2 pax serving)

Another noteworthy dish, one which Mr Richard mention is another bestseller would be their Seafood Paella. A Spanish dish, the risotto is cooked just nice, well seasoned with generous amounts of seafood thrown in, including squids, mussels and clams. The serving is meant for 2pax, but judging from the large size, I would think it can cater for 3 or more depending on your appetite.

Braised Lamb Shank - RM68

Another dish with very large portion, the Braised Lamb Shank was served doused in really nice sauce, grilled and baked to perfection. The meat literally fell off the bones, tender to the bite. Good stuff here, served with a healthy mix of risotto, French beans, and baby carrots. Again, I do advice to order this dish to share.

Spaghetti Vongole - RM26

A pasta dish was served next, namely the Spaghetti Vongole. Cooked al-dante, with seafood and white win reduction, this garlicky dish came with lots of clams in it. Pretty tasty, but I did feel there was a tad too much garlic thrown in as it drowned out every other flavours in the spaghetti.

Bistro Richard's Christmas Set Meal

Stuffed Turkey - RM85 (comes with Christmas pudding, showcased last in this blog post)

To add to the Christmas spirit, Bistro Richard has prepared a Christmas set, consisting of Stuffed Turkey and Christmas pudding. The stuffed turkey breast is filled with a combination of cheese and mushrooms, rolled with beef bacon outside. The rosemary gravy and spice did wonders to the flavours of this dish. It went really well with the accompanied Christmas pudding, a sweet and slightly sourish dessert made from berries and Brandy reduction thrown in. Do remember to check out Bistro Richard @ Sentul Park, KLPAC if you're looking for a nice spot for Christmas dinner with friends and family.
