It was indeed a night of fun and nostalgia as nearly a hundred bloggers and friends came for Samsung's "Get-To-Know" Bloggers Engagement Gathering at The Pool KL. The invitation came from Manoah Consulting, which gave me the opportunity to catch up with all the bloggers. Some whom I have not seen for quite some time showed up as well, and it was great just meeting up over a common interest, Samsung.

Time: 7pm - 10pm

So there I was, rather early this time, reaching the venue at 6pm. The staffs and workers were doing the finishing touches to the stage, backdrop and stuff so it was rather interesting walking around just checking out the place. I did not have much idea then what the night would be about as all I was just told this was a casual night out for Samsung folks to meet up with all the Samsung enthusiasts (read: me!)

With an initial event tag that read "If you are a Samsung enthusiast and enjoys creating buzz via social tools, this should be the perfect platform for you!", I was already hyped up even before coming for this gathering. The possibility of meeting up with old friends and bloggers was an added advantage.

It was indeed an eye-opener for me as part of the games to win some Samsung exclusive prize was the use of Samsung's TecTiles app, which uses Samsung's NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. Pretty nifty I might say, as all one had to do was to tap their phone onto these signs pasted all around the venue to get the "message" or "play instructions"

In between mingling around with the bloggers, we got to enjoy the cool atmosphere of The Pool, while sipping on some cold drinks. As the night progressed on, sweet margaritas were brought out as well, to our delight. The night was all about engagement, between the folks from Samsung and us bloggers, which we did over some nice food and drinks.

Of course, any gathering with bloggers would not be complete without lots of photos, which I happily did the honour to snap away. The new camera did help in keeping me pumped up as I went around snapping photos of friends, and new acquaintances.

Midway through the night, after the speeches and introductions on the new Samsung videos, and technology, we were treated to some scrumptious buffet food. Unfortunately I missed out on snapping the food pictures as I was too eager to finish it. There was a short contest as well, with two winners in the end.

Overall, it was a rather nice event, and even though it was short and ended by 10pm, I appreciate all the effort and hard work to make it happen. Gathering so many bloggers in the same venue for a common cause is by no means an easy feat, a feat which was successfully accomplished tonight.
