Malaysian Invasion Mixed Martial Arts (MIMMA) Coming To Town!

It's the IN thing in recent times, where we have been hearing loads about mixed martial arts. I've managed to catch a couple of professional MMA tournaments last year, and it was an eye-opener indeed. Today's writeup would be to share with you on the upcoming Malaysian Invasion Mixed Martial Arts (MIMMA) tournament.

Malaysian Invasion Mixed Martial Arts (MIMMA) will be the first largest All-Malaysian Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Amateur Tournament in Malaysia. MIMMA aims to nurture and grow local talents from the MMA scene by preparing a platform for amateurs to contend and put their highly honed skills and countless hours of dedicated training to the test. The tournament will consists of 7 different weight classes which are Flyweight, Bantamweight, Featherweight, Lightweight, Welterweight, Middleweight and Heavyweight.

Frankly speaking, after witnessing for myself what these fighters can do, I have a tinge of jealousy, and really would like to give it a go myself. Martial arts training, muay thai, or all the various forms of mixed martial arts out there, it would definately help to get me fit and healthy on top of feeling really good.

Mixed Martial Arts to me is cool in the sense that we would be able to defend ourselves in times of need. And like what they always say, having more skills and knowledge is always better than none. Of course, when there's a need to use those nifty moves, it's going to be real exciting.

Personally, late last year, I had the opportunity to try for myself a form of Muay Thai, and my, it was refreshing to say the least. I could kick, punch and basically try to jump around. Of course, my fitness level does not waver well for me, going out of breath real quick.

Hey, that's me trying to keep up with the punches and all.
