GTower Ramadhan Buffet Preview Night

Ah, it's the time of the year again, or soon to be. The arrival of the holy month of Ramadan indicates the onset of the season of fasting, observance and generous festivities. Janice and I were privileged to be invited for GTower's Ramadhan Buffet Preview the other night. It was to be a night of abundant food, and we're thankful for it.

First off, I feel GTower's location in the heart of KL city is really convenient, as in I could just walk over to the venue from the Ampang Park LRT station without breaking a sweat. That saved me a lot of time wasted in the traffic jam should I have driven there. This year marks the third year of GTower in organizing its Ramadhan Buffet .

Certainly in sync with the mood for the Ramadhan celebration, Chef Johnny Fua and his team prepared tantalizing halal local delicacies for this Ramadhan period at Rajang Hall, Lower Ground Floor of GTower. We arrived just in time to partake in the festive eating. As usual, I took a glance at the satay corner and much to my delight, the lamb, beef and chicken satay served were juicily good!

Walking around, we were never short of food to choose from as the menu was extensive, with choices from the main counter consisting of Nasi Hujan Panas, Aloo Ghopi, Pau Goreng Berlada, Sambal Udang with Scallops, Dalca Kambing and many more.

After attacking the main course, only did I realize there was a spread of appetizers as well. We had the cold and Hot appetizers to begin our meal such as Kerabu Perut, Penang Pasembor, Kerabu Jantung Pisang and the “must-have” sambal belacan.

Of course, my stomach could only muster enough strength to have just "that" much of satays, and I eventually drifted to the desserts corner. A delectable array of dessert such as Cendol Banana & Orange Triffle, Pengat Labu and Sagu, Rojak Buah was laid out. There were no ice creams, but Ice Kacangs were served that night, which came close. Check out the colourful condiments for the ice kacangs.
