We had the Fried Butter Prawns, which I really liked a lot. The prawns were big and juicy, peeled and fried with butter served with some vegetables on the side. The butter really brought out the flavour, coupled with the freshness of the prawns. Succulent, juicy and tasty, served on a plate, well recommended.

#2 Pan Fried Stuffed Scallops - RM14

The really good dish for the night Grand Pavilion KL’s Pan Fried Stuffed Scallops. Stuffed with Banana Prawns from the Gulf of Carpenteria, the scallops were really tasty, and definately not enough for a big eater like me. I loved the simplicity of this dish, coupled with the freshness of the piece of scallop.

#3 The Peanut Butter Crab - RM68/kg

We had a couple of nice chinese cuisine before the arrival of this huge crab dish, but I shall showcase this dish first because I guess it was what we came here for. I rarely have the chance to eat a lot of crabs, so this was a good opportunity for me to develop my taste for this delicacy. Served with peanut sauce, the Peanut Butter Crab dish itself was really creamy, and the crabs were huge to say the least!

I observed everyone did really enjoy the crabs laid out for us. With its big claws and all, there were ample crab meat to go around. We just had to be hardworking enough to crack open those shells. As for me, I really liked the mantao that came along with the dish, as it was crispy on the outside, soft bread inside, dipped in the peanut butter sauce, heavenly.

#4 Crispy Fried Mushroom - RM22.90

Crispy Fried Mushroom - RM22.90

Now I have to commend Outback Steakhouse for making one of the best Fried Mushrooms which I have had. In fact this was one of their signature dish which locals actually come back again and again just to order these moist crispy fried mushrooms. I like the fact the outer coating is really crispy, but still maintaining the flavour and the moistness of the mushrooms inside. Lightly breaded, served with spicy ranch dressing, this dish is a must-order if you're dining at Outback.

Another exotic dish which was laid out on the table that evening was the Sauteed Venison Slice with Chinese Croissants & Cumin. It's not everyday that I can have some venison for dinner, which tasted just like chicken except it had a much softer texture. Served in a claypot with crispy Chinese croissants, I had more than my fair share of scoops.

#6 Australian Wagyu 7 Beef Steak - RM95/100gm

Our next dish was Maria's Cafe's signature steaks. We were served with the Australian Wagyu 7 beef steaks. Naturally the Wagyu 7 steak tasted really good, being tender and very nice texture. It made me fall in love with the taste of a good steak. Order it medium or rare, and enjoy all it’s meaty goodness. At RM95/100gm for a wagyu 7 steak, I was informed the price was pretty reasonable for the quality of the meat

Lamb lovers would love the subsequent, Sanook's Kim Yang Lamb Cutlets. Here we have really juicy pieces of lamb cutlets coated in the special Korean sauce, with accompanying Kimchi.  Every one of us loved this dish for it’s softness and tastiness as the meat was marinated before being grilled to perfection.

#8 Curry Fish Head (Seasonal based on weight)

Curry Fish Head (Seasonal based on weight)

Yet another specialty dish from Herbs & Spices was their Curry Fish Head which was seasonally priced, The owner did mentioned they used New Zealand Ling fish head as their main ingredients which came in this really thick curry gravy. Personally I liked the curry a lot, as it was thick and full of flavour.

 #9 Devilled Crab - RM11.90/100gm , Colombo Styled Crab - RM11.90/100gm

Are you a crab lover? Then these huge crab dishes served by A Li Yaa should suffice to satisfy that craving. We were served with 2 huge crab dishes in the form of the Devilled Crab and Colombo Style Crab dish. The difference between these two would be the way its cooked and the contrasting flavours. A Li Yaa's Devilled Crab was cooked in a sweet and sour sauce while the Colombo Styled Crab was prepared with hot and spicy black pepper. I much preferred the Colombo Styled Crab for its spiciness and great taste.

My favourite dish for the night would be this Prime Ribs. Seasoned with spices and salt, and served with a choice of garlic rosemary, black pepper or brown sauce, I just couldn't get enough of it. The meat portion was really large and juicy.
