Mezza9 @ Glomac Galleria Desa Sri Hartamas

It's rare that I get to try out a new food spot in town, but there I was last week at this really new place serving good food at Mezza9 in Glomac Galleria over in Desa Sri Hartamas. One of the first occupants of the building, it wasn't tough to get a parking spot just in front of the restaurant.

Mezza9 @ Glomac Galleria Desa Sri Hartamas
The interior which was beautiful to say the least

With really nice dim lighting from the unique lamps inside Mezza9, it was truly a fine place to dine in with friends and family. Upon reaching the restaurant at around 8pm with a bunch of other foodies, we were really taken in by the atmosphere. One whole table was reserved for us, with the bar located on the 2nd floor. It wasn't long before good Mediterranean Food were served.

#1 French Onion Soup - RM12
Wild Mushroom Soup - RM18
#2 Wild Mushroom Soup - RM18

The starters that were served were the French Onion Soup and the Wild Mushroom Soup. With lots of onions, the French Onion Soup was pretty unique to me, with a slighly salty tinge, it was uniquely nice. I much preferred the Wild Mushroom Soup though as it came with generous amounts of mushrooms, in a really creamy package.

Caesar Salad - RM18
#3 Caesar Salad - RM18
Garden Salad with Balsamic Dressing - RM18
#4 Garden Salad with Balsamic Dressing - RM18

Up next were the salads which really helped to whet our appetites for more good food to come. The Garden Salad with Balsamic Dressing would be a hit for those who love some healthy veggies in their life. As usual, I went straight for the Caesar's Salad as I always love those slices of meat in between those leaves.

Calamari with Homemade Tartar Sauce - RM12
#5 Calamari with Homemade Tartar Sauce - RM12
Salmon Bruschetta (2pcs) - RM12
#6 Salmon Bruschetta (2pcs) - RM12
Mushroom Bruschetta (2pcs) - RM8
#7 Mushroom Bruschetta (2pcs) - RM8

We were still in the starters portion of the meal, when the finger food came out. Perfect to go during those drinking night with pals, or just to munch on while waiting for the mains, the Calamari and Bruschettas were really good on their own. The Calamari needed no introduction, but I was rather intrigued by the way Mezza9 prepared their Salmon and Mushroom Brushettas. With the creamy sauce flowing down, it is wise to enjoy the bruschettas in one swallow, munching required of course.

Black Angus Rib Eye Served with Mediterranean Vegetables, Roasted Potato & Corn on Cob - RM80

Mint Marinated Rack of Lamb with Fondant Potato and Roasted Cherry Tomato - RM45
#9 Mint Marinated Rack of Lamb with  Fondant Potato and Roasted Cherry Tomato - RM45

After all the vegetables, finger food and soup, it was then time to chow down on the mains. Red meat lovers would love the next couple of dishes that were served namely the Black Angus Rib Eye and the Mint Marinated Rack of Lamb. I love my steaks medium done, and here it was perfectly done just the way I like it. Juicy and tender meats were the order of the evening.

Honey & Grain Mustard Glazed Salmon - RM48
#10 Honey & Grain Mustard Glazed Salmon - RM48

Don't let the slightly burnt looks of the Honey & Grain Mustard Glazed Salmon fool you as only the top was slighly seared due to the honey. Upon cutting this salmon dish, we were pleased to find really soft and fresh salmon meat for the fish lovers.

Meatball in Tomato Sauce (4pcs) - RM12
#11 Meatball in Tomato Sauce (4pcs) - RM12
Braised Oxtail (4pcs) - RM16
#12 Braised Oxtail (4pcs) - RM16

I just could not get enough of the Meatballs as it was really tasty. Doused in tomato sauce, pop one in your mouth, and I dare say you won't stop until at least 3 more are taken. It was that good. Another dish that tasted way better than it looked was the Braised Oxtail, cooked to perfection making the meat really soft, tender and melts in your mouth.

Spaghetti Bolognaise with Beef Bacon (spicy) - RM25
#13 Spaghetti Bolognaise with Beef Bacon (spicy) - RM25
Spaghetti Aglio Olio with King Prawns - RM38
#14 Spaghetti Aglio Olio with King Prawns - RM38

Spaghetti and pasta lovers rejoice, because the Spaghetti Bolognaise with beef bacon was made just for you. With generous servings of beef bacons in this slighly spicy sauce, the taste hits you at just the right spot. That's before we saw the Spaghetti Aglio Olio with King Prawns, now the prawns really brought out the flavours to this classic dish.

Chocolate Lava cake with Orange Cream Anglaise - RM15
#15 Chocolate Lava cake with Orange Cream Anglaise - RM15

We ended that wonderful evening of food galore with the lovely Chocolate Lava cake with Orange Cream Anglaise. This so happens to be one of my favourite desserts anywhere, which I love to watch the chocolate lava flow out upon cutting the cake. Mezza9 do serve some really good food, so don't hesitate to drop by their restaurant should you be in the vicinity of Desa Sri Hartamas.
