This week is all about Puss In Boots, and even though it wasn't the premiere screening, I was thankful to be given a pair of tickets for the special screening of Puss In Boots by Nuffnang tonight at GSC 1 Utama. A DreamWorks animation, with big names Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek in the movie, Puss In Boots was a movie to look out for.
Puss In Boots, a real life costumed Puss posing for the crowd
Braving the slight drizzle, and horrendous traffic on my way to 1 Utama, I arrived earlier than expected, just in time to join the queue of bloggers and friends to collect our tickets. The atmosphere was lightened up with the presence of a real life costumed Puss In Boots posing for the cameras.

My Puss In Boots tickets
Coming back to the movie, Puss In Boots tells the tale of Puss (Antonio Banderas), and his adventures from being a fugitive to chasing after the golden eggs high up in the sky. Magic beans, that grows a giant beanstalk up into the heavens were featured in this movie together with some really evil Jack and Jill. Together with Kitty Southpaws (Salma Hayek) and his close childhood friend Humpty Alexander Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis), they had to brave the dangers to retrieve the golden goose that lays the eggs.

Now here's where Puss In Boots and Kitty Southpaws face off
We have Humpty Alexander Dumpty rolling all around everywhere in the movie
Puss In Boots has all the elements played into the movie, from friendship to betrayal, love, trust, and even lots of comical moments and scenes. We get to see the romance blossom between Puss and Kitty Southpaw, and also how Puss ended up being a fugitive even though his heart was good. For me, I'll rate Puss In Boots a 6/10. I somehow feel the music and ambience was a bit too soft, not sure it it was the cinema itself. Catch the movie, and you'll find out how things turn out on their quests and all.
