My Nuffnang Story
This post shall be my writeup for Nuffnang's contest to try for an exclusive invite to the upcoming Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011 happening right here in Kuala Lumpur this 16th December. My objective? To give a brief but concise story on my journey with Nuffnang ever since I joint them. For your information my blog Isaactan.net only kicked off in December 2010, but it has been going strong since then with daily events, food, and lifestyle updates, publishing Nuffnang ads primarily.
The upcoming Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011 |
"The Awards aims to honour the crème de la crème of bloggers across the Asia-Pacific region. After 2 months of nominations, voting and campaigning, it will all culminate with the prestigious awards ceremony in Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur, the bustling capital of Malaysia"
"500 bloggers, including the biggest names in the blogosphere from all over Asia-Pacific, will be invited to the gala dinner at Putrajaya Marriott on 16 December 2011, where they will be dazzled by celebrity emcees and talented entertainers well-loved in the region."
"The Blog Awards experience will not end there, because after the glamour and fanfare of the awards ceremony, foreign bloggers will also get the chance to get a taste of the unique, colourful culture of Malaysia with a semi-guided tour around the city of Kuala Lumpur the next day."

Let us begin now shall we? I've browsed through numerous bloggers entried for this contest, and they were all awesome in putting together their journey with Nuffnang, complete with cool photos and all. I might be going down the same path, with photos, but it wouldn't be a long winded entry, I hope.
Friends make the world go round, I couldn't agree more on this statement as through the months, I have met up with and engaged with more friends than I had envisioned for. Some became really close blogger friends, while some greatly influenced the direction of this blog. Through various events and movie screenings held by Nuffnang, I never leave out the chance to introduce myself and know more friends. Awesome times. Let me share with you some of the memorable events by Nuffnang which I had the chance to attend below. Do check them out below.
#1 Nuffnang Sharing Session With Bloggers @ Frames Cafe Sunway Pyramid
Good times! |
"The session began at 6.30pm after a quick registration of names. A total of 20+ bloggers were invited and everybody was so excited about getting to know each other. I'm really thankful I was invited to join in this happening gathering. Free food, new friends, and great tips, what else can you ask for!"
I met Xiaxue there! |
"Throughout the whole session, with the exception of a moment of silence when Nuffnang staff were introducing themselves, everyone was so busy chatting and taking pictures. Nobody was spared, snap snap snap. I was just glad to get a chance to make more blogger friends! Everybody, no matter how famous, were equals tonight, and we got to share our interests, as well as valuable tips for each other."
#2 HyppTV Bloggers Party
Janice and I at HyppTV Bloggers Party |
"Invited by Nuffnang, I reached the cool Neo Tamarind Restaurant and Lounge just in time for the event. The theme was supposed to be Hollywood Superheroes, and by right everyone should come decked in their favourite superhero costume. I wanted to go as Indiana Jones, but couldn't manage to get the hat in time."
"Overall it was a great night, it wasn't exactly a "Zouk" kind of party, more like a "Zen" party with high class exquisiteness all around. The food served was great too"
#3 Smurfs Day Event at Ikano Power Center
Smurfs Day! |
"Members of the media and special guests were invited through a special invitation card to unveil the "Smurftastic Surprise"! Thanks to Nuffnang, I was invited for this event. What was the surprise? Hundreds of plastic Smurfs, just 20cm high were found scattered everywhere on the ground floor of Ikano Power Centre. They were literally everywhere, cool blueness all over. "
#4 Astro B.yond IPTV Hollywood & Celebrities Night
Awesome bloggers present at Astro B.yond IPTV Hollywood & Celebrities Night |
"Fresh from one Halloween themed party at the Hot Magazine 7th Anniversary Bash, I had the opportunity to attend yet another costumed themed night. This time, it was an invite from Nuffnang to go for the Astro B.yond IPTV Hollywood & Celebrities Night. The bloggers party was held over at the Astro B.yond IPTV Concept Store in Solaris Mont Kiara where familiar faces of bloggers and friends arrived all dolled up in costumes!"
"Anyway, so there I was at around 8pm, to be greeted by the lovely Nuffnang ladies at the registration counter. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many bloggers decked out in full Hollywood and Superheroes costumes. The night was packed with games, food, and lots of fun with photos and all."
It wasn't all about Nuffnang's event only, as my journey with Nuffnang included the friends that I've met along the way. Nuffnang provided me with the opportunity to get to know this really awesome group of bloggers where we went ahead to organize gatherings of our own. Check out below on a couple of our bloggers gatherings!
#5 Oreo's Party With Bloggers
Fried Oreos ! |
Great Times |
"It started off with a Facebook event invitation co organized by Carmen and Kian Fai, one thing led to another and last night all of us met up at Carmen's place in SS2 for an Oreo blast! Oreo? What Oreo you say? Well, the highlight of the night would definately be Carmen's specialty, Fried Oreo La Delicious!"
"A group of happening bloggers reached her place at around 8 plus. Let's do a short roll call, because I did not manage to get a group photo with everyone in it. We have Carmen, Wilee, Henry Lee, Xing, Eli, Jayren, Qi Tyng, Tony, Elwyn, Melissa, Janice, Sherry, Adrian, Kian Fai, and Edmund."
#6 House Party With Bloggers
Awesome bloggers! |
"A couple of us, KL bloggers decided to organize another similar pot luck event, and invited fellow bloggers to join in the fun. This time around, we had Edwin to prepare his homemade macarons and sweet desserts which were awesome to say the least."
"So there I was, arriving just in time to see some macarons being served, as well as some sweet "egg-like" dessert being burnt by a "burner". Carmen's house over in SS2 was huge enough to fit more than 25 bloggers in the living room. It was a good feeling to see so many familiar faces among those that attended. The best thing was, every one of us there were bloggers, happening friendly bloggers."
I can go on and on and on because the activities that I have attended through Nuffnang, and various other parties in this huge bloggers community. Nuffnang provided an avenue that kickstarted all these happening and wonderful meetings. For that I say thank you Nuffnang, for the events, the earnings, the opportunities, and friends!

ReplyDelete我是甲洞三宝寺 (暹廟) SAMNAK SAMBODHI BUDDHIST ASSOCIATION NO: 19-21 JALAN 38 TAMAN DESA JAYA KEPONG 52100 KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA.
