Fancy a good bowl of Wanton Noodles, or better known as Wan Tan Mee to the locals. Well, look no further if you're in the vicinity of Wangsa Maju. Pontian Wanton Noodles opened up a branch here a few months back. I was there to observe when they did their opening ceremony, with all the Johor plate numbered luxury cars parked outside.

Desa Setapak Wangsa Maju
Kuala Lumpur
Anyway, it so happened last weekend
JFook, a fellow blogger called me up for breakfast because he so happens to be around my area. Without hesitation, I jumped out of bed and went out to meet him. I recommended this place because they were having a new promotion of only RM3 per plate of Wanton Noodles. Heck, it's even cheaper than the roadside stalls.

Wanton Mee - Spicy with Black Sauce Specialty RM3 |
|
The soup comes with 2 wantons - sorry didnt capture the wantons swimming inside |
The special thing which sets apart this stall from your average roadside wanton noodle stall was the variety in the menu. There is tong sui on top of the wanton noodles. The servings come in small, medium and large sizes with price tags of RM3, RM4, and RM5 respectively. You are also able to dine in air-conditioned comfort. The shop owner definately took the extra mile to make the interior as lively and interesting as possible. Check out the wall deco and colorful tables below.

Reminded me of my kindergarden days |
Of course, we also took the opportunity to capture a picture of us enjoying our meal. Thanks
JFook for being my breakfast kaki for the morning. The food was good, but your presence made it all the more enjoyable!

Us having a good meal |

ReplyDeleteAllison, Yay~! But i may not go down too soon. I think it should be the same, because when they opened this branch here in wangsa maju, the owners came in johor cars.
ReplyDeleteSmall Kucing, total wantons should be 4, 2 fried, 2 in the soup, quite worth it lo for RM3. Roadside stalls already at RM4.

hey isaac! where is this shop? im also in wangsa maju area but i havent see this shop before! the price is cheap and looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteI just went back from the shop you recommended.Maybe, what you experienced on April which is when it was new opening, u deserved everything good from there. But nowadays, what I can share is their service is a SUCK!!! Not matter how the taste of the foods, but if you treated as a non-valuable customer, will u still say this is good wantan mee???Let me share my 2nd experience with that shop at Wangsa Maju here. I reached there and placed order by 10.45am, I waited for 15 minutes, everyone around me got their foods even for those who just came in no more than 5 minutes. As what a normal human will do, I raised my hand and asked 1 of the waiter (Chinese fat guy),he (with the faced of everyone owning his 1M of money)did not respond me anything and straight away walked to the kitchen and check the order and ask kitchen to cook. After 3 minutes, another foods came out from the kitchen,is not for me! Is for the table who just came in 3 minutes. This time, I asked the aunt (who always stand at the cashier),she respond me with "Sorry"(with the faced of everyone owning her of 1M money as well). After another 3 minutes, the foods was there, but it was not the same of what I ordered.I order 1 big wantan mee with black source and chili source, but they give me 1 big mee with only black source. And I ordered 1 wantan soup (with 10 pieces wantan,it cost RM4)),they didnt give me tat wantan soup with 10 pieces of wantan that cost RM4 till I finished my food.I did not said anything, I just hope I can finish it asap to quit from there quickly! When the time I pay the bill, it charge me 1 big wantan mee n wantan soup! Then I asked, why you still charged me RM4 even you didnt serve me the wantan soup! They looked my table and ask the kitchen seen like I am cheating? This is what I deserved from there! After the few months of the business, this is their service!
