This evening I had the chance to attend a complimentary special screening of the movie Morning Glory courtesy of TimeOut KL. It was held at Cathay Cinema at e@Curve at 9.30pm. Upon getting to know I got the tickets, I did a quick check on the movie. 2 names popped up, Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton. Wait, Harrison Ford, in a comedy? This I have to watch, I thought to myself then.

Coming from the same writer that wrote "The Devil Wears Prada", this movie is of a similar genre. This time it's a romantic comedy set in the hilarious world of morning television. We have this workaholic producer Becky Fuller (Rachel McAdams) freshly fired from her previous job due to downsizing, having a really low point in her life career wise and relationship wise. Then she got this new job at "Daybreak", a morning television program with declining ratings and on the verge of being cancelled.
Sweet girl with grumpy man
We then see Becky recruiting on legendary TV anchor Mike Pomeroy (Harrison Ford), who previously only does serious and breaking news, in a bid to revitalize the show. It was funny to see Becky's antic, and interesting also to see how she matures in her relationship and handles grumpy Pomeroy (Harrison Ford) to make him do morning shows, which he distinctly hates doing!

Overall this was a nice comedy, albeit not enough romance, but more towards morning television comedy. The show actually felt rather short without much depth for its characters. However it did still got me laughing at certain scenes. Do check out the trailer below. I can't help thinking how much my parents would love this movie.
Hmmm...you mean to say that it is suitable fro old people? I would think such movies are a lot more meaningful than those brainless slash, kill and burn ones.
I was at the Toyota Vios launch event back in 2013 when they launched their 3rd gen look in Malaysia, and I must say it wow'ed a lot of folks with its looks. ( All New Toyota Vios Launched In Malaysia ). It was rather cool then that last week I was given the latest Toyota Vios 1.5 TRD Sportivo to experience and review here in this space of mine on the web. Toyota Vios has always been a rather popular car in Malaysia, being an essential part of youth pop culture in Malaysia, with looks that will turn heads. Toyota Vios 1.5 TRD Sportivo Review
