Tsar Spring / Summer 2014 Trunk Show: An Intimate Soiree @ Palate Palette

This will be a fashion post, one which I may not be exactly well versed with, but hey, it's a start. The season of sunshine is back and local ethnic-based yet trendy design brand Tsar gave a sneak peak of their bespoked Spring/Summer 2014 Collection at an exclusive invite-only preview at Palate Palette Restaurant recently. Interestingly, it was my first time at the colourful restaurant as well.

The beautiful Wan Sariah Wan Jaafar, Founder and Designer of Tsar was present at the event to showcase her latest Tsar Spring / Summer 2014 collection, with models strutting across Palate Palette's floor where invited guests and media looked on. Frankly speaking, it was my first time coming across Tsar's fashion showcase, but the design and colours of the bags and shoes did wow me over.

Radiating exquisiteness while projecting a prism of bold, fun, cheeky and sexy colours which captured the season’s spirit, the modelled shoes and uniquely shaped handbags will surely be a favourite of many a fashionista. It did not take long before the models walked down the steps from the second floor of the restaurant, showing off what the Tsar brand had to offer.

Among the enthrallers were the ‘curry-puff’ shaped SANURA bags with an array of colours such as pink, green, red and yellow; embedded within abstract and ethnic prints to match anyone’s mood for the season. The fun SAMARA wedges were also a favourite, judging from the excited whispers floating around the venue.

The momentum built when the bold, colour-blocked KAISA all-leather bags made their appearance, moving away from ethnic prints and a much welcomed addition, with the super sexy MONICA heeled platforms a little later into the fashion show. Audible gasps which turned into more excited remarks spoke positive volumes on the creations paraded to those who attended. Other equally brilliant designs were the BASSA sandals and KINSASHA flats, which is one-of-its-kind.

There was never a dull moment throughout the fashion show as guests were treated to a visual cacophony of colours pulling them into the many fun aspects of spring and summer! The clincher for the evening was the MINI SANURA for big girls and little girls. Great as a clutch for the disco diva or for mother-daughter outings! Inspired by the larger SANURA, the tinier version mimics the bigger "curry puff" bag!

Tsar creations are mostly inspired by ethnic prints from different parts of the globe for that one-of-a-kind personal touch. Every piece is made with care and in limited quantities so owning one would mean that you are one of the very few in the world to own such a fabulous accessory. Coupled with the fact that it is specially designed for that dose of exclusivity, who could refuse getting themselves such a fashion statement!

Said Wan Sariah Wan Jaafar, Founder and Designer of Tsar, “I was inspired by the visual and emotional aspects of both the spring and summer seasons, and wanted it to come alive with this collection. Every single piece of my design carries a certain positive emotion when it is paired with someone’s wardrobe"

"I love the way people react to it whenever I show it to them as they feel a connection to it and make it a part of themselves rather than just a piece of ‘a past season’ accessory that someone had once and chucked away. My hopes are to have my clients feel very special when they buy this particular collection and feel awesome everytime!”, continued Wan Sariah Wan Jaafar.

And the exceptional feeling continued throughout the intimate gathering mix of celebrities, socialites and clientele when it was announced that invitees were able to purchase these gorgeous creations for a very special price, just for that day.

Not only was this a pleasant surprise, there was a bonus for the first 28 who purchase a bag in the form of Laser Treatment Vouchers and to those who bought RM500 and above were eligible for the lucky draw, with prizes such as Facial Rejuvenating Treatments and the grand prize which was a Facial Feature Enhancement Package. All of these goodies were sponsored by Clique Clinic and those who won were beaming at the end of the event.
