Mid Autumn Festival is around the corner. Have you had any mooncakes yet? Chef Chan of The Emperor Chinese Restaurant at Dorsett Grand Subang together with his team have prepped up their variation of award-winning mooncakes in anticipation of this much-awaited festivity. Before that, let’s start off with a “Makanthon” shall we?

Dim Sum Extravaganza 


Known for their delicious Muslim friendly dim sums, we got to savour their dim sums that afternoon, and my it was good. From deepfried BBQ chicken bun, steamed siew mai and prawn dumpling to deepfried prawn rolls and steamed glutinous rice with chicken and mushroom, we were spoilt for choice.

Makanthon @ The Emperor Chinese Restaurant


The Emperor Chinese Restaurant has introduced the new buffet concept aptly named Makanthon. It’s an Eat All You Can experience for just RM68 nett per Adult and RM48 nett per child below 12 years old. There’s a whole lot of variety to choose from Fish & Chips to Grand Mee Mamak, Caesar Salad, Dorsett Wings to Pan Pizzas and Char Kway Teow. How’s that for a mix of local and western favourites.

Go on a binge and try out their selection of Noodles, Chinese BBQ, Muslim friendly Dim Sum and Chinese specials such as deepfried prawns with salted egg yolk, diced chicken with dried chilli, double boiled soup of the day, sweet and sour fish and more! Eat to your heart’s content nightly from 6pm to 10pm.

Mid-Autumn Festival Mooncakes 


From 3rd August to 1st October 2020, The Emperor Chinese Restaurant at Dorsett Grand Subang is offering their range of mooncakes, including the unique Dorsett Signature Blue Mooncake.

Special this year, the Blue Mooncake this year, instead of the usual white lotus paste, this year’s variation comes with pandan lotus paste instead and there’s a plain version and with single egg yolk.  The crystal skin is infused with home-grown blue pea flower extract; totally organic, preservative free and halal certified.

A must try, the premium mustang king durian mooncake with crystal skin definitely “takes the cake” so to speak. Prices start from RM30 per piece, depending on the variation. Select from pure red bean paste mooncake to white lotus paste mooncake – pure, with single or double egg yolk.
