Mid Autumn Festival this year will be all the more beautiful with these delicious moon shaped wonders from Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant, One World Hotel. This year, they are offering 12 types of mooncakes, from the baked variants to the snow skin ones, and even one unique Teo Chew savoury option. Read on.

Ordering One World Hotel Petaling Jaya’s mooncakes, we were pretty excited to try out the baked variations, with flavours white lotus paste with double yolk and the classic Supreme Mixed Nuts baked mooncakes. On top of the baked ones, we went for the snow skin variations as well; Durian lotus paste and White lotus paste with Single Yolk Snow Skin Mooncakes.

These mooncakes came in beautiful oriental themed packaging, each mooncake individually packed to remain fresh all the time. As these mooncakes are made in-house, it is highly advisable not to wait too long before sinking your teeth into them.  We liked the fact that the mooncakes were not overly sweet, moist without being too oily. Good stuff!
