If you have not read my writeup on Kontiki Restaurant’s Tiki Weekend Hi Tea, then head here now. We were back again at Kontiki Restaurant, The Federal Kuala Lumpur recently to savour their Tiki BBQ Seafood dinner. Kontiki Restaurant has reopened since 15th July, and with the new reopening, they have brought to us this BBQ feast. Good stuff, especially if you enjoy your seafood being barbecued and prepared straight from the grill, to your table. Read on for my take on this.

With RMCO still in place, the number of tables in Kontiki has been reduced, with social distancing being practised. All staff were seen to be wearing protective gears as well. Thumbs up to Kontiki for adhering strictly to local health guidelines. 

BBQ Seafood & Meat

The BBQ Seafood Dinner offers up a wide variety of food, with the highlights being the Cylinder BBQ Section by the pool. Here’s where you get to choose your raw meat to be barbecued, from beef steaks, lamb cutlets to sausages and more.

Seafood lovers will love the BBQ varieties as well, which is a lot. From slipper lobsters, large squids, you get to pick from tiger prawns, flower crabs and oysters as well. There’s satay as well, so be sure to grab some sticks of the good stuff.

There is your usual buffet offerings too, so be sure to check out the seafood on ice corner, fresh salad bar, and the Malay styled kerabus and more.

Here’s where we got to sample the roasted whole lamb rack, Beef Wellington, baked salmon fish and more. I really liked the lamb rack as it is really flavourful. Yum!

Best part about dining over at Kontiki is the peace of mind that the staff bringing our food to us, and preparing our food practises social distancing and they do wear protective gears when handling the food. 

Kontiki’s Tiki BBQ Seafood Dinner goes for RM138 nett per adult, RM69 nett for senior citizens and RM49 nett for children and is only available every Friday and Saturday from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
