HerbaLine Wellness Sanctuary Ipoh - Weekend Staycation with the Family
It was my birthday weekend, end of the year 2019. What better way to spend the day than a weekend staycation with the family. This time around we headed over to Ipoh, to HerbaLine Wellness Sanctuary for a wholesome time to rejuvenate and relax.

Now I’ve been to their 3-in-1 concept over at Kuala Lumpur before, so I did know what to expect. They offer a one stop wellness concept, which consists of a stay at their Sojourn Guest House, some massages/spa over at HerbaLine Facial Spa and good healthy food at their Mama Kim Wellness Kitchen.

The rather new HerbaLine Wellness Sanctuary Ipoh was opened recently, in conjunction with Tourism Malaysia’s Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign. Good experience, read on for my take on our staycation at Sojourn Guest House, an experience of the Antioxidant Hot Bed Therapy and most importantly the partake of the delicious sauna mee at Mama Kim Wellness Kitchen.

Eat Well, Look Well & Live Well
With a tagline that reads “Eat Well, Look Well & Live Well” you know you’re in for a good wellness retreat. We had a seamless check in at their in-house rooms at Sojourn Guest House. “Like home but better”, their taglines keep getting better I tell you! Along the corridor there’s always some aromatherapy thingy on-going, ensuring you’re always relaxed. Sweet smelling, we headed on to our family room.

Sojourn Guest House
Sojourn Guest House not only caters for the single traveller, they have a total of 41 rooms, 6 different types to cater to couples, small families, and even the big family. Entering our room, we were really pleased with how spacious it is.
Beautiful spacious family room
The beds were really comfy, and the amenities were just top notch! You get everything you need in the room, including nice shampoo and soap, and even unlimited purified water in glass bottles.

Happy birthday, to me :)
I walked the corridors and am very pleased to find an area for the kids to relax as well! They enjoyed playing some games together with us. If you’re into the outdoor, you could even head to their rooftop garden, a small area overlooking the vicinity. Sweet!

HerbaLine Facial Spa
This time around, both Janice and I did not try their facial, but instead went for the Antioxidant Hot Bed Therapy. Something new to me, this treatment is exclusively available at HerbaLine Wellness Sanctuary Ipoh. Initially the thought of laying down on a 42°C – 45°C hot bed in the treatment room did not seem like a good idea at all. However, after reading on its goodness and all, the 40 minutes of sweating really left us invigorated and refreshed after!

Mama Kim Wellness Kitchen
Now I’m a big fan of Mama Kim’s sauna mee, having tried numerous occasions at their branches in KL. Here there’s another cool tagline of theirs, “Where Healthy is Yummy”, which I agree totally! The concept is literally a healthy menu of 80% vegetables and 20% meat, you can do no wrong trying any of their dishes off their menu.

Delicious healthy sandwiches
We had our breakfast there, hence we had their breakfast menu. From delicious sandwiches to the Mini Sauna Mee, we were satisfied with our noms.

Good stuff, my one night stay over at HerbaLine Wellness Sanctuary Ipoh was one to remember. It’s especially memorable since it is on my birthday! Looking forward to the next stay the next time we are over at Ipoh.
