This CNY, there’s a whole lot of choices of food and places to dine at, especially for the reunion dinner. The tossing of the “Yee Sang” is a must, for prosperity, abundance, health and everything auspicious. Tony Roma’s variation of the tossing of yee sang comes in two variations of the Ong Lai Salad.

Ong Lai Salad with Crispy Salmon Skin (RM38.88)

Made up of special ingredients like fresh radish, zucchini, pineapple, carrot, red cabbage, red capsicum, walnut, fried wontan strips, crumbs and crispy Salmon Skin, this is one very unique CNY yee sang. Toss it high! the crunchiness of the fresh salad went really well with the crispy salmon skin.

Fortune Salad with Grilled Salmon and Crispy Salmon Skin (RM58.88)

Something out of the norm, the Fortune Salad with Grilled Salmon and Crispy Salmon Skin has almost the same ingredients as the Ong Lai Salad but with a small twist. The offering has both Crispy Salmon Skin and Grilled Salmon. The flavourful fortune dressing does add a zesty taste to the dish. What a great way to kick off our meal.

Salads aside, bring forth the meat! We tried out the Trio Happiness which consists of chicken wings in three different flavours; yummy ed Hot Buffalo Wings, Salted Egg Chicken Wings and Flaming Spicy Chicken Wings. I for one am a big fan of the Salted Egg Chicken Wings.

Main Entrees

Yes, more meaty goodness! This time around, Tony Roma’s Reunion Meal is what we were served with, which has all the meat I would need this Chinese New Year. A combination of three all time favourites on one plate, we have the Flame Grilled Lamb Ribs, the half BBQ Chicken and the Signature Kickin’s Shrimp. The shrimps and lamb ribs were soooo good. Yummy.

The other main entree would be their Short Ribs with Honey Plum Sauce. Good stuff, the very tender and well seasoned Short Ribs is drenched in sweet and sour Honey Plum Sauce. Served with Mashed Potatoes, Fire Roasted Vegetables and French Toast, be sure to share this!
