The holiday season is here! Have you decided where to dine this Christmas eve, or New Year eve ? So recently I was at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel to savour their Christmas buffet dinner, and my, it was good. Did you know Renaissance had a complete revamp of their lobby and restaurant? Read on.

The hotel and restaurant itself is rather brightly lit and very festive like, complete with the huge Christmas tree at its lobby. All ready to host festive get togethers, Christmas parties and family retreat we were in for a treat, food-wise.

Evolution Cafe

My initial thoughts on Evolution Cafe was the name, and how it sounded rather unique, different from your usual hotel restaurants. The Evolution Café will be having a month-long festive special a la carte menu (6:30 pm to 10:30 pm), so be sure to check them out. 

From seasonal favourite such as the poached asparagus with home-cured salmon, they even have the roasted turkey roulade with foie gras, pan fried Atlantic black cod to the creamy chestnut soup.

Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner

24 December 2019 (6:30 pm to 10:30 pm)

RM188 nett per adult ; RM94 nett per child (6-12 years old) ; 

RM248 nett per adult with free-flow of wine and beer

Relish in a sumptuous buffet spread featuring Executive Chef Edmund Ng’s festive creations from whole roasted turkey with home-made stuffing, 6-hour slow-roast Australian prime rib eye, Atlantic salmon sashimi and local favorites from freshly baked tandoori chicken to gulai pedas.

Gastronomic highlights include luscious roast turkey with home-made stuffing, grilled lobster, Australian Black Angus beef as well as a selection of Christmas goodies and traditional Christmas pudding.
