The family dined here not too long ago, and we loved the food served at Ryoshi Signature. It was with great delight then when I was invited over again to sample their latest Japanese fares.

We kicked off the meal with some appetisers and salad, the Hako Kani Salad to be exact. Loved how the salad consisted of generous servings of snow crab. Tasty! The salad did go well with the Yaki Gyoza appetiser.

Let There Be Sashimi!

We were served with the Fuyou Sashimi Mori next, a beautiful plate of 5 different kinds of sashimi, from Otoro, Kampachi, Salmon, Ikuro and Amaebi sashimi. Good stuff, it’s been a while since I’ve really indulged in some fresh sashimi.

Always a fan of Yaki Tori, the ones at Ryoshi Signature were done just nice, juicy and tender. We even tried out the pork belly version, Buta Bara. Since we’ve started on the porky dishes, up next we had the Hire Katsu (Fried pork fillet cutlet).

One of my favourite dishes that afternoon will definitely be the bowl of Ryoshi Buta Don. Piping hot rice, with delicious barbecue pork meat on top, there’s even that beautiful piece of egg on the side. The flavours of the barbecue pork meat was exquisite and I just could not have enough of this dish. Would order more if given the chance.

Sushi Rolls

There were a whole assortment of sushi rolls on the menu of Ryoshi Signature. From Pork Sushi Rolls (Ryoshi Buta Maki), to Cranky Salmon Maki, to Oyster Maki, you must try them all if you love sushi rolls. I for one much preferred sashimis to sushi rolls. All good though.

If you’re up for more meat and rice dishes, do try out their Buta Bara Nama Shiogayaki (Pan Fried Pork Slices with ginger sauce). This goes really well with the Yaki Meshi (Char Siu Fried Rice).

Fans of soba would do well to order the Yaki Soba. Stir fried with vegetables, the thick soba has got a pretty tasty flavour and texture.

There you have it, a good meal of Japanese cuisine from sashimi to rice to sushi rolls and more, over at Ryoshi Signature. The next time you’re craving for some good Japanese noms, and am in the vicinity of Atria Shopping Gallery, do drop by Ryoshi Signature!
