Always on a look out for great tasting dim sums for our weekend lunch treat, we headed over to Celestial Dynasty the other day to savour their Sunday Buffet lunch. Yes, dim sum, buffet style. Aptly named the Super Value Sunday Buffet Lunch, it is available every Sunday from March 2019 onwards. Read on below.

My first time over to Celestial Dynasty, the restaurant is located at Seksyen 19 Petaling Jaya, serving mainly Cantonese cuisine. On Sundays however, they have these delicious dim sum galore. How much does it cost?
Available every Sunday from 11am to 2.30pm, the Super Value Sunday Buffet Lunch is priced at RM68++ for adult, RM38++ for Senior Citizen and RM38++ for children aged 5 to 12 years old. Diners can also enjoy Group Promotion of Buy 4 Free 1!

Steamed Dim Sum
There are just so many dim sum offerings to choose from. All the steamed dim sums are served piping hot in bamboo steamer basket, the traditional way of serving. From Har Gow aka prawn dumplings, to my favourite siu mai aka meat dumpling, we were spoilt for choice. There’s the rolled bean curd, fish ball, and various hot bars as well.

In fact, if you want to try something else other than the usual steamed dim sum, you have the fried versions, such as spring rolls, sesame balls and yam puffs. Lovely, and for the price they are charging, suddenly it’s all worth it.

Live Cooking Stations
Also available at the Dim Sum Buffet are the Live Cooking Stations where the chef will prepare yummy fried radish cake and pan fried dumplings, both which are must-haves at any dim sum feast. At another corner, we have the special Peking Duck prepared.

Roasted Pork, Yes Please!
Irresistible roast pork with golden brown crispy skin. This was the main highlight of the morning, at least for me. A whole roasted pork is cut up into pieces for us to savour. Good stuff!

The buffet spread includes healthy soups, and even traditional Chinese cuisine such as the Pork Trotters in Vinegar, Yong Tau Foo, Butter Prawns, Braised Mushrooms with Broccoli, Fried Rice and Minced Pork Porridge to name a few.

From Tong Sui to chinese pastries, mochi to ice kacang, and fruits rojak, there’s something sweet for everyone.
