Rumah Selangorku Pangsapuri Idaman Residensi PKNS @ Cyberjaya
This weekend was a fruitful one, where I took the opportunity to wake up earlier on a Saturday morning to check out the launching of Pangsapuri Idaman Residensi officiated by the Chief Minister of Selangor, Amiruddin Shari. The new Rumah Selangorku built by PKNS (Selangor State Development Corporation) to offer more affordable housing (RMM) in respond to the state government’s agenda, providing the low and middle income group in the state an opportunity to own our own home! Read on below!

This commitment by PKNS is aligned to the Ministry of Housing and Local Government’s goal to build 1 million RMM (Rumah Mampu Milik) over the next 10 years. If you do not know yet, you can actually head on over to http://lphs.selangor.gov.my to check if you qualify to apply online for your own Rumah Selangorku. The pricing of these houses are really, really affordable.

Selangorku Idaman Residensi
The new development I visited this morning was one with a unique combination of modern architecture. It’s built on 14.41 acres (58328 square meters) of land. The whole project consist of 864 units. Unlike previous Rumah Selangorku projects elsewhere which only offers 2 bedrooms, here each unit comes with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms including 2 car parks per unit. How cool! In fact, they even came up with four units for disable person (OKU) Selangorku Idaman Residensi with an area of 1,000 square feet!

Pricing & Location?
The pricing range from only RM42,000 to RM250,000 depending on the apartment type and size (700-900sq ft). The location of Idaman Residensi is in Cyberjaya, SCV (Selangor Cyber Valley to be exact). SCV is the 11th township developed by PKNS.

Let’s Check Out The Showroom!
We were literally at the site of the project, with on-going construction. Not missing the opportunity to check out the actual units of Idaman Residensi, we proceed to don our safety jackets and hard hats. The apartment consists of 2 blocks, Block A (14 floors) and Block B (15 floors), expected completion by December 2020, with CCC expected to be obtained by mid 2021.
Love how the showroom showcased the space of each units. Gone are the days where Rumah Selangorku is tagged with low cost housing scheme stigma. Now these units are complete and pretty big. In fact, for this project, it will be equipped with management office, surau, multipurpose hall, three units of shop space, playground, kindergarten space, elevators and even a mortuary management room. Oh wow, that’s a whole mouthful of facilities just to get into one sentence.
Location, Location, Location
A place to stay is one thing, but to be so connected is another. I was excited to see how close the new Pangsapuri Idaman Residensi is to my alma mater (Multimedia University-MMU), and many other academic institutions in Cyberjaya. In fact, it’s close to D’Pulze shopping centre, Shaftsbury Square and even Centrus mall.

Wait no more, if you are eligible for the Rumah Selangorku programme, this is definitely a project to look out for. Registration can be made either to the office or via online. Due to Selangor Property Housing Authority (LPHS)’s requirement for full screening by the Affiliate Home Buyers List Selection Committee, registration needs to have a green light before being sent over to PKNS for the offer letters. Head to http://lphs.selangor.gov.my now!
