Sits up to 100 diners in COCA Restaurant |
Serving really nice and tasty hotpot goodness, the COCA franchise is brought back to Malaysia by the new owners, and my, did they do a great job. The decor of COCA Restaurant is really comfy, taking up a large area, which can seat up to 100 diners. The heritage of COCA dates back to 1957, with the first restaurant in Surawang, kicking off the suki trend. Featuring a rather healthy menu of high quality meat, seafood and vegetables, you must try them out to appreciate it all.
More than just Suki |
A La Carte Menu of Thai-Cantonese Cuisine
Before our hot pot was served, we tried out their a la carte menu featuring yummy appetisers such as the signature fish cakes, and more! The highlights at COCA is the must-try Signature Thai-style Suki Hotpot. There’s a variety of hotpot soup to choose from, namely the signature Tomyum Soup, Southern Spicy Soup and the non-spicy Chicken Soup.

New Southern Thai Soup
The highlights for COCA Restaurant would be their Thai Suki Hot Pot, and here in Malaysia they have crafted the new Southern Thai Soup for the steamboat. We tried out the Meat Combo Platter, and it did impressed me. The meat combo platter consist of imported Australian Beef Fillet, NZ Lamb Fillet, Chicken Fillet, Premium Beef Balls and Homemade Chicken-Balls, amongst others.

I liked the meat combo platter, but if you’re a seafood lover, then do try out the Seafood platter which consists of generous potions of US Jumbo Scallops, Tiger Prawns, Squids, Cuttlefish, Fish Fillet, Homemade Fish Glue Ball, Shrimps balls and also Seaweed Rolls. Don’t forget to have the vegetables that comes along with the platter.

Mud Crab sautéed with Egg
What a dish to indulge in, the Mud Crab sautéed with Egg came served in a large bowl filled with crabs and eggs. What more can we ask for, the crab is just so fresh, and couple with the sauce and egg, I’m in love with the flavours.

COCA Soy Chicken
Simple, yet tasty, the COCA soy chicken is one to try when craving for some poultry dish. The slow cooked free range chicken is served on a plate, good to share with 2 persons or more.

Ice Cream set |
After all that good food, we ended our meal at COCA Restaurant with dessert in the form of their Ice Cream set. The set comes with a choice of Yam, Vanilla, Coconut, Chocolate and Strawberry. Good memories indeed, so the next time you’re in the vicinity of Bangsar, and looking for some good Thai hotpot, give COCA restaurant a try!
There was Coca at a classy hotel in Kuching - I would always drop by everytime I hopped over...a long time ago. Dunno if it is still there or not. Loved it heaps!
ReplyDeleteSuituapui,
