Alibaba Celebrates 10th Year of 11.11 Global Shopping Festival
It has been 10 years, now this totally caught me off guard. Tmall’s 11.11 journey for the past 10 years was celebrated with some pretty awesome and spectacular animated projection on the pillar of KL Tower. Add in some fireworks display, and I’m totally sold! Read on.

Alibaba Group brings its celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the 11.11 Global Shopping Festival to Malaysia today ahead of the largest annual one-day sale event in the world with a mesmerizing light show at the iconic Kuala Lumpur Tower. I arrived at the venue after a long day at work, and everything was okay again. Did I mention 11 November, 11.11 is coming up real soon?

11.11 Global Shopping Festival Is Coming Real Soon!
Malaysians will be spoilt for choice in this year’s 11.11 with a wide variety of product offerings ranging from Fashion, Beauty, Gadgets & Electronics, to Home & Living categories across 180,000 brands from Malaysia and around the world. There were a whole lot of people at the warm-up celebratory party over at KL tower that night. We were introduced to their Taobao Lite app as well. They literally lit up KL Tower with lights, colourful moving lights.. Awesome stuff.

Who Was At The Event?
The Malaysia kick-off event saw pop-stars from local girl-group Amoi-Amoi: Stella Chen, May Ng, ShaoQi; bubbly MY fm radio announcer: Lizz Chloe; game show TV host: Michiyo Ho; up-and- rising Youtuber: Linda Lim, as well as other distinguished Malaysian social media figures and members of the media in attendance. They were treated to an assortment of interactive entertainments including performances by the marketplace’s mascot Tmall Cat and high caliber performers that brought the festive spirit to a crescendo.
