Food hunt! A couple of weeks back, together with a bunch of friends we headed down towards Seremban, Bandar Sri Sendayan to be exact, to savour some really yummylicious noms. Who doesn’t love themselves some good food after travelling a good 40 minutes plus from Kuala Lumpur, and Jigger & Shaker Restaurant & Bar is ready to satisfy. Located at d’Tempat Country Club, Bandar Sri Sendayan
Upon reaching the location, I was pleasantly surprised to see it’s just next to Matrix International School. If you didn’t read my previous write-up on Matrix, check it out here. Jigger & Shaker is located just next to the pool at the country club, serving a wide range of cocktails, mocktails and western fusion menu for all. I was told, the owner want to bring the best of f&b from KL to Seremban and the locals here.

New Menu Introduction
We were introduced to some of the new samplings of their menu to be introduced in September. Here I’ll introduced some of it to you in this post. Let’s start off with some soup shall we? The Roasted Pumpkin Soup was served piping hot, perfect to whet our appetite for the mains and meat to come.

Salad
Feeling healthy? Try out Jigger & Shaker’s Tropical Fruit Salad, with lots of zing and flavours. Even for a meat lover like myself, I found myself taking this in with a smile. The crunchy flavours and ingredients coupled with so many tropical fruits inside made this a good appetiser dish.

BBQ Chicken Pizza
Such a filling pizza, the BBQ Chicken Pizza came on a rather large platter, complete with chunky BBQ sauce and lots of cheese. Good stuff, if you like to have your fill of pizza with your drinks.

Australian Grain-fed Surf & Turf
My favourite meaty dish, the Australian Grain-fed Surf & Turf, even though it could have been better if it was done more rare. Lovely steak, served with a large prawn, you must check out the video I did above, to see how I cut into the meat.

Pasta Delights
We tried two different pasta that afternoon, the Beef Stroganoff Pasta which came in two sauces, the creamy creamy white wine sauce with tender beef strips and beans, and the classic tomato-based sauce with fresh seafood. I’m more of a white sauce type of pasta eater, but both were pretty good.

Do remember to try out their Seafood Risotto too. Classic, yet flavourful, the seafood did wonders to our taste buds.

J&S Sourdough Sandwich
I found it strange to be named a sandwich, but the J&S Sourdough Sandwich had to be my favourite dish. It’s basically lots of good cheese, cream and seafood stuffed into delicious bread. Have it like a bowl, I could take mouthfuls after mouthfuls of the creamy insides.

Chicken Chop with Creamy Mustard Sauce
The Chicken Chop with Creamy Mustard Sauce wasn’t too bad as well, being really crispy on the outside, yet tender and moist feel to the meat inside. The mustard sauce wasn’t overpowering and went well to flavour up this dish. Have it with the sides, homemade mash and corn on the cob.

Beef Burger with Charcoal Bun
I love my beef burgers freshly made, with huge slabs of tender meat, and here at Jigger & Shaker, they did everything right. The homemade beef patty is indeed thick, yet so delicious, literally melting in our mouth. Good stuff, highly recommended, this Beef Burger with Charcoal Bun.

Desserts Make the World Go Round
For desserts we tried out the sweet and nice smelling Cinnamon Roll with Berries and Ice Cream. Oh did I mention Jigger & Shaker makes some really wicked cocktails and drinks, from non-alcoholic beverages to alcoholic ones.

We tried out the Grapes and Rosemary Gin and Tonic, Bo-Beries Carafe Cocktail, Hibiscus Rose Sparkler and Lemongrass Lychee Cooler for our fair bit of alcohol quota. If you’re like me, one who prefers a non-alcoholic beverage for after work chills, then do go for the Blueberry Cheesecake Milkshake.
