Tradisi Malaysia Ramadan Buffet @ The Venue Shah Alam

Ramadan Buffet @ The Venue Shah Alam

It was my first time over at The Venue Shah Alam, where they held their special preview of their upcoming buffet promotion this Ramadan. Held at the rather beautifully decorated place, The Venue Shah Alam hosted a feast of Malaysian cuisine. Space is not a constrain, as the buffet dishes were laid out in a rather unique fashion. Check out below on what we had that evening.

I must say, I was impressed with the place, aptly named The Venue. It was a standalone building, encompassing 3 floors, and we dined on the 3rd floor. There were ample parking space outside. The Venue Shah Alam doubles up as a wedding reception, a place for bridal showers, engagement, annual GMs, event space, seminar, fashion shows, and basically anything you want it to be. An event hall for all.

This year, the Ramadan buffet will be held at two halls, their newly launched hall, the Event Hall which can accommodate up to 250 pax at one time and the Grand Ballroom which can accommodate up to 400pax. During the Ramadan Buffet promotion period, The Venue Shah Alam also provide a prayer room for Maghrib and Isya’ prayers and a section set aside for wuduk.

During the buffet preview, we were introduced to the main chef, Chef Nabil Md Salleh, as he showed us his wide array of traditional Malaysia dishes to our delight. From the unique Ayam Semor from Javanese recipe, to Syamin rice from Johor, the buffet highlights include authentic Kelantanese dish Beef Kozi, roasted with herbs and spices, served with Briyani rice, chicken Mandy and condiments.
