Held Annually in Taiwan and the Philippines

The annual National Geographic Earth Day Run had its beginnings in 2007 in Taiwan and in 2010 in Philippines. Both runs have been growing in scale with Philippines hitting their record of 20,000 participants in 2015 and in Taiwan, participation rates increased by 2,000 for the runs in Kaohsiung and New Taipei in the same year.

Following Earth Day’s theme of No Plastic Waste this year, Nat Geo further lends its voice to champion the cause with an eco-carnival to culminate the event. One of the event highlight includes an exhibition by Zero Waste Malaysia at TwentyFive.7, to showcase a truly ‘zero waste home’ during the race pack collection.

In addition, the event will gather Malaysia’s green heroes such as Petrosains and Biji-Biji Initiative. Gamuda Land is the official venue sponsor, with partners including unifi TV and Nivea Men.
