I’ve always known for a fact that ginger from Bentong, or Bentong Ginger has been one of the more fragrant ones, and should be the one to go for. It’s interesting to know hen that Caroma, the brand has come up with their Caroma Bentong Ginger Tea, giving us an option to fully appreciate and savour the goodness of ginger in tea form. Did you know that ginger is one of the healthiest spices in the world? Read on below on the product, and my experience trying it out the other day.

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to try out on the spot Caroma Bentong Ginger Tea when I was out with the family at Sunway Giza. They have a booth at Village Grocer there, and the promoter is really nice, giving out free tasting for all. One sip of the Caroma Ginger Tea, and I’m liking it already. The subtle spiciness of the ginger, together with the sweet aftertaste, had me going for a second “cup”. The fact that it’s a healthy beverage, all the better for me!

The pricing isn’t too high as well, in fact I found it to be pretty affordable at a promotional price of RM15.90 per box, with 10 sachets inside each box. The packaging makes it so easy to prepare, in sachet form, unlike in the past where we had to go through the traditional tedious way of preparing a good cup of piping hot ginger tea.

Some background on Caroma Bentong Ginger Tea

Aren’t you curious how the brand came about? Well I was, and a quick chat with the promoter and some digging got me a whole lot of information on the brand. Caroma Cafe is behind the brand where they have over 40 years of experience (that’s a lot!), creating custom made pre-mixes for various companies and brands. The farm is located at Tanjung Malim where high quality Bentong ginger are cultivated. Watch the video below and you’ll understand a whole lot more. 

Caroma Bentong Ginger Tea does not only come in 1 flavour, in fact there’s a total of 3 flavours in the range, namely the Original Flavour, Honey and Honey Lemon. Of course, if you’re into the powder form, they have that as well! I was told, just one sachet daily of these, coupled with 150ml of warm water, and you’re good to go! It helps to aid in our digestion and absorption of nutrients as well as helping to boost our metabolism.

They are now available at selected Village Grocers, on Caroma’s website, AEON Wellness, local pharmacies and traditional Chinese Medicine Halls in Malaysia, Singapore and China (international yo!).
