Babies & Kids Toys: Do You Buy Them?

Babies & Kids Toys: Do You Buy Them?

As per title, how many of you parents out there buy your kids or babies these cutesy toys? Some are pretty educational, some just plain cute and fluffy. Tell me about it, my home is filled with toys accumulated from when Martin and Karlson were babies, to now, a whole 5 years or so. We literally filled up a whole baby cot with their fluffy , "educational" toys and stuff.  From "Barney", Thomas the Train, to a whole slew of products from Fisher-Price, we are spoilt for choices now.

Nevertheless, no matter how I feel it's a bit too much, new parents especially those who have their first kid will definitely have the urge to splurge on getting new toys for their cute bundle of joy. That's when the hunt for educational, bright, and most of all value for money baby toys come into play. We go to warehouse sales, going through the sales promotion corner at departmental stores, and what nots. Being a bit more tech savvy, why not search up toys online?

Some of us will go overboard and get those really huge toy sets which will need a lot of space. That's for the more fortunate folks as they can cater a whole room to be the kids' room. When Martin and Karlson were babies, we had very limited space, hence the baby toys had to be small. More importantly, we went for the educational type of toys, which can help in hand-eye coordination as well as the smaller ones which can train their fine motor skills.

Of course now, it's so much easier to source for baby toys. There's a whole space on the web dedicated to these, from websites to online shopping portal. You could even get pre-loved toys which are value for money over at Facebook Groups and online portals. The prices there can be really good, and low, perfect for the cost conscious Chinaman in me.

Let's re-iterate then shall we? What do you think of when you say the word "baby"? The word 'baby' infers pictures of adorableness and sweetness. A child is the wellspring of joy for all that is surrounding him or her. We have to keep the child occupied, and guess what? Baby toys are one of the easiest approaches to keep an infant or baby occupied and active.

A child toy engages children, and hopefully, in the end they will learn from it as well! Part of me is definitely excited to see the kids growing up, but then I do feel when they get bigger, moving on to bigger toys, I will start missing the times they are still playing with their fluffy "Barney", Thomas the train and the likes.

Times are good, so do indulge and splurge on your kid. Of course, don't overdo it, but hey, they are only babies for a very short period of time, then they grow up to be naughty toddlers.
