Just Heavenly @ Bangsar Shopping Centre
The name alone, Just Heavenly brings forth images of sweet indulgence, from beautiful cakes to yummy desserts. I've heard so much about it, but didn't manage to find time to drop by until last week where together with friends we dined at Just Heavenly, Bangsar Shopping Centre. Did you know on top of their tantalising cake treats, they serve some rather nice salads and mains as well? Check out what we had that evening.
Just Heavenly @ Bangsar Shopping Centre
Just Heavenly was started by Allan Yap and Nigel Skelchy back in 2001, baking out of Allan's mother's kitchen and subsequently moving to neighbouring premises in Bangsar. Their cafe in Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC) is the flagship cafe, serving delicious food from burgers and pastas to mains and healthy salad. Did you know they can be found at Jaya One and Genting SkyAvenue as well?
Nigel Skelchy being a really nice host that evening
We kick started our meal at Just Heavenly with their appetizers and small bites meant for sharing. From the scrumptious Caesar Salar to Char Siew Chicken Salad and Salmon Spring Rolls and Fish Fingers, each dish was a feast for the eyes.
A special mention has to be given for the Fish Fingers served by Just Heavenly. On the outside it looked crunchy enough, but the surprise was the moistness of the fish meat inside. I was taken by surprise, as I expected it to taste like any fish fingers, hard and dry on the inside. Here, the moment you bite into it, you could actually taste the freshness. Good stuff.
Their Salmon Spring Rolls is unique in the sense that not many cafes or eateries would serve salmon in these crispy spring rolls. Served with sauce akin to tartar sauce by the side, munch on these while waiting for your main course to arrive.

Char Siew Chicken Salad - RM21
Pour in the dressing, and enjoy!
Something different we tried both Just Heavenly's Caesar Salad and the meat laden Char Siew Chicken Salad. Both salad had different tastes and appearance, but they were both good, especially the Char Siew Chicken! Love how the dressing after being poured in brings out the whole tangy flavours of the salad.
Crab Aglio Olio - RM32
Bet you didn't know Just Heavenly serve hot main dishes as well! We started our mains with the delectable Crab Aglio Olio, which came in a rather large portion. The crab meat is tossed into the mix, which brought out the taste in this slightly spicy dish.
Lamb Burghini - RM34
Introducing Just Heavenly's Lamb Burghini, a greek inspired lamb burger complete with yoghurt mint sauce and chunky chips and salad with feta cheese on the side. I did not know lamb burgers can taste this good. It was juicy enough, without having that overbearing lamb aftertaste. Pretty good. What came next is even better though.
BLT Burger - RM30
A burger made from prime aussie beef, the BLT Burger is a must try over at Just Heavenly if you're a beef lover. Done just right, it's really juicy, doused in chunky mushroom sauce. Served with chunky chips and salad with feta cheese, I did like how the toasted sesame bun complemented the whole burger dish as a whole. Yum!
The One That Got Away - Fish & Chips
The Fish & Chips wasn't out of the ordinary, maybe the fact the fish is more moist than what we usually get outside. What a name, Curryeggy! With sunny side up egg in the middle, this pastry dish is doused in curry at the side. Another wonderful creation from Just Heavenly, which filled us up just right ahead of our next dessert and cake indulgence.
High Tea Set
Rainbow Cheesecake ' 9" Round Cake
