Guinness Bright - 'All Things Bright & Beautiful'

Guinness Bright - 'All Things Bright & Beautiful'

Did you know Guinness Malaysia has launched a brand new stout especially for the Malaysian market? I was at the launch of Guinness Bright a while back, with a slogan that reads 'All Things Bright and Beautiful', it's a rather big change, both in the looks, colours and most notably, the TASTE.

Of Coffee, Ginger & Lemongrass Extracts

A smooth and fresh stout infused with invigorating coffee, ginger, and lemongrass extracts, Guinness Bright is stout as you’ve never seen it before. Crafted exclusively for Malaysia, Guinness Bright was developed in partnership between brewers at Heineken Malaysia Berhad and Guinness’ Open Gate Brewery in Dublin, and is not available anywhere else in the world. How's that for being really Malaysian!

So how does it taste?

An acquired taste, at least that's my first thoughts on Guinness Bright after tasting it. The lemongrass extract gave a rather heavy flavour, as well as the ginger. It felt lighter, yet not as smooth compared to the original Guinness. Refreshing? I would think so, anything with lemongrass in it would be relaxing and refreshing in my books.
