Did you know Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur has a new block of building now? Located at the new building, we have the new franchise of Melur & Thyme Restaurant. It's located at Block B on the ground floor with a couple of other restaurants. I have had the chance to savour their offerings the other day, which was pretty good. Now Martin and Karlson's paediatrician is at Gleneagles, so we always come over. So nice to be able to find good food now at the hospital.

If you did not know yet, Melur & Thyme have branches in KLCC and NU Sentral. This one at Gleneagles is their first franchise branch, and they will be serving fusion menu, which when served hot can be pretty delicious. Check out what we had that afternoon!

Salmon Salad

Salmon Salad - RM26 

Generous serving of salmon with lots of greens

A rather healthy salad dish, one with generous amounts of salmon thrown into the mix. When you're dining there, do try out their Salmon Salad, a mix of smoked and grilled salmon, served with quill eggs, tomatoes, and lots of greens. The whole salad dish is drizzled in honey mustard sauce for that sweet, tangy flavour and taste. 

Nasi Goreng DengDeng - RM26

Croissant Crab Spaghetti

Melur & Thyme serve a whole variety of local Malaysian cuisine, to fusion pastas and meat western dish. We tried their Nasi Goreng Dengdeng and Croissant Crab Spaghetti, which did not disappoint. The Nasi Goreng Dengdeng came with daging dengdeng, crackers, sunny side up, and sambal belacan. 

Crispy Aromatic Duck 

Must try: Crispy Aromatic Duck - RM34

One of the must-try dish at Melur & Thyme would be their Crispy Aromatic Duck dish. I had one taste of the delicious shredded crispy duck, and I just had to have more. The platter comes with roti jala, greens, chilly, fresh sliced garlic and sauces. Eat the duck on its own, or wrap it in the greens and dip it. Good stuff here. 

Chicken Wing Satay - RM21

Because normal satay is too mainstream, then we have these yummylicious Chicken Wing Satay which goes for RM21 per plate. The marinated chicken wings were juicy enough, nicely grilled, albeit a tad burnt at the ends. Too good though, going really well with the peanut sauce, onions and cucumbers on the side. 

Blueberry Milkshake? Why not

Refreshing drinks to quench your thirst while you're dining at Melur & Thyme, Gleneagles KL

We tried their mix of refreshing drinks ranging from the Blueberry Milkshake, Pineapple Belt, Virgin Bellini, Lemon Berry Sting, to the rather heavy Peanut Butter Milkshake.  In conjunction with the opening of this franchise restaurant Melur & Thyme Gleneagles, they are giving a 20% discount from now until April 2017! 

Currently they provide lunch set menus as well, starting from RM20 which consist of 1 appetizer, main course, dessert and drink. That's a pretty decent price. Melur & Thyme Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur opens from 8am till 10pm daily.
