My first time over to this very chic and hip looking Greyhound Cafe at Bukit Bintang, KL and it was for a Zomato Foodie Meetup. Located at the busiest junction between Fahrenheit 88 and Lot 10, this cafe does bring it the crowd, as it was fully packed that night we were there. Check out what we had that evening.

Greyhound Cafe, Bukit Bintang |
Entering Greyhound Cafe for the first time, even though I've been hearing about it a lot from my friends, I understood why so many folks would want to snap pictures inside. It is indeed a haven for hipster-looking shots, complete with the nice wall, decor and overall fitting and feel. We were reserved a table for Zomato foodies. It was indeed a packed full house night, even on a weekday.

Street Style Beef Skewers and Sticky Rice - RM 46 |
I wouldn't say the pricing at Greyhound Cafe is one of the lowest, but hey, you get the ambiance, and the taste of the food is pretty commendable. Serving fusion styled Thai cuisine, we tried the Street Style Beef Skewers and Sticky Rice, which is actually pretty good. We had these grilled beef marinated with garlic and pepper served with sticky rice their home made sauce.

Complicated Noodle - RM26 |
 |
Add everything together and you have this dish. |
Greyhound Cafe introduced this really unique offering, the Complicated Noodle, pleasantly surprised me with its presentation and taste. Served with cabbage on the side, we had these flat soft noodle-like texture piece , to be taken and wrapped in the cabbage and some really delicious meat and minty sauce. Interesting indeed.

Salmon Sashimi in Spicy Hot Sauce - RM 26 |
 |
Greyhound Famous Fried Chicken Wings @ RM 18 |
Another two rather tasty dish, the Greyhound Famous Fried Chicken Wings and Salmon Sashimi in Spicy Hot Sauce was served that night. Loved the crispy chicken wings, which wasn't really enough for me. The Salmon Sashimi was served with lots of grind herbs and garlic cloves with minty freshness. Good stuff.

Penne with Seared Scallops, Asparagus in Light Peso Cream Sauce - RM46 |
Huge chunks of nice seared scallops greeted us in this Penne with Seared Scallops, Asparagus in Light Peso Cream Sauce. Simple dish, a tad oily, but quite tasty. For me, I really liked the scallops on top, not so the peso cream.
 |
Pad Thai - RM16 |
I think this has to be one of the best value for money dish at Greyhound Cafe, the Pad Thai. Love the taste, and how it is very nicely done with generous amounts of prawn and peanuts by the side. Recommended, and at RM16, it's very nicely priced as well.
 |
Mince Chicken with Sweet Basil and Hot Chilies - RM27 |
I was told this is a really popular street food in Bangkok, the Mince Chicken with Sweet Basil and Hot Chilies. I understand now why its so popular. Rice served with meaty goodness in the form of the basil infused minced chicken, we had fried egg and a bowl of clear soup by the side. Another tasty offering.
 |
Coconut Sago with water chestnut served with coconut shaker - RM16 |
 |
Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate Cake @ RM 22 |
 |
Fresh Coconut Crepe Cake - RM 22 |
We ended the meal at Greyhound Cafe with some of their delectable dessert in the form of the Coconut Sago with water chestnut served with coconut shaker, Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate Cake and Fresh Coconut Crepe Cake. What got me quite excited would be the crepe cake which is made out of so many layers of layered fresh coconut meat from Thailand and fresh cream. Do check out Greyhound Cafe the next time you're in the vicinity of Bukit Bintang.
