Madhouse KL x Asahi Live - A Good Night Out

Sometimes a night out with friends over some beer, chilling at a nice spot with good music is just what we need after a long day out at work. We were at Madhouse KL the other night, for a night out with Asahi Live band playing, lots of Asahi beer, and oh my, shisha. Check out the photos I managed to capture that night.

Madhouse KL is located directly below the MEX Highway, as in we were sitting literally below the concrete highway. A stone's throw away from IKEA Cheras, a quick search on Waze for Madhouse KL will bring you here. Simple, yet colourful, complete with neon lightings and all. I was there earlier in the night, so I was able to snap some pictures around.

The whole two storey bar and shisha spot is tastefully done up with the skull being its main logo and theme. Love the neon lights. The shishas were prepared on the ground floor with a variety of flavours available, while upstairs the Asahi Live Band performed. For that evening only, Asahi beers were offered at only RM60 for 3 big bottles, hence the large crowd who arrived to enjoy the music, beers and shisha.

It was a special Madhouse KL x Asahi Live weekend, hence the Asahi Live band were there to perform. Belting out Malay, English and even Chinese dialect songs, they were a treat, making a good night out even more awesome!

I found it very intriguing to be partying just below the concrete floors of MEX Highway. Surprisingly there were hardly any vibrations nor noise coming from above. Instead we were treated to beautiful sweet music. Madhouse KL serves food too, in case you need some bites to go with your beer. Check out below on some of the finger food we had that night.

They had these home made ice cream which went for around RM10, and my favourite popcorn chicken. It didn't take long before Asahi beers were brought out, along with shisha. Let the festivities begin!

Madhouse KL is well known around these parts for their shisha, as can be seen during that night where every table had at least two or three. I myself am not a keen shisha user, that night being my second experience with it. It did come out smooth, as I chose the honey dew flavour. The rest of the gang that night truly enjoyed it though.

On the second floor , where the happening party is at, Madhouse KL employed an open air concept, hence non stale air, no claustrophobic feeling. Loved the ambiance, and how they managed to transform a "below the bridge" area into a hip happening joint. If you're looking for a good place to hang out with friends at night, over some beers and shisha, look no further.

Comments

  1. Ah yes!!! As far as I know, Asahi's the name of a beer, not a band. Don't drink and drive!
