Here's where the magic happens, where all our premium seafood is barbecued and grilled
Here's where the magic happens, where all our premium seafood is barbecued and grilled

CEO BBQ Premium Seafood Barbecue does not believe in patrons cooking their food themselves, but will instead grill and barbecue your selected noms while you sit and relax at your table. It doesn't take long before all that perfectly grilled seafood and delicacies are laid out on your table for your enjoyment.

We feasted on the rather large French Brown Crab, which is also known as Lazy Crab for its limited movements that evening. This dish however, has to be pre-ordered one day in advance so that you will get the freshest live French Crab. Most crabs are imported frozen, so it was nice to see a live one here at CEO BBQ.

Flamed before serving to us
Flamed before serving to us

I was a tad surprised the crab is put direct to the grills without killing it first, as it took a good 20 minutes or so before the crab is finally cooked. Chef Yeoh from CEO BBQ did mention that this is the best method to grill the crab so as to ensure its firmness of the meat while being juicy and all. The crab is flamed just before serving to us, and all was good. Love the texture, taste and flavours of this crab dish, which went well with the accompanying sauces.

Seafood platter, filled with oysters, large scallops and mussels

Seafood lovers will love the subsequent seafood platter that the chef delightfully prepared for us. Large oysters in sea salt, scallops with cheddar and mayonnaise sauce, and giant scallops on chili cheese sauce together with mussels make up the platter. I'm not a big fan of oysters, but it does look really good. Pricing for this dish are based on market price. The BBQ Giant Scallop, shown in the middle of the picture above is priced at RM25 each though.

Prawns Platter with the Jumbo Fresh Water Prawn (market price) taking the centre stage with BBQ Prawn Extra Large (set of 4 - RM55.00)

More seafood to come, we had the Prawns Platter with the Jumbo Fresh Water Prawn (market price) with BBQ Prawn Extra Large (set of 4 - RM55.00) next. This came in a rather large portion, all freshly grilled from griller to table. It comes in two different flavours, original and soy based sauce. I love how fresh the prawns were.

BBQ Squid (RM20.00), BBQ Pork Ribs (RM35.00) and BBQ Smoked Duck (RM20.00)
BBQ Squid (RM20.00), BBQ Pork Ribs (RM35.00) and BBQ Smoked Duck (RM20.00)

It was a feast of sorts, with the meaty dishes being served next. We had the BBQ Squid (RM20.00), BBQ Pork Ribs (RM35.00) and BBQ Smoked Duck (RM20.00) all laid out of a plate for us to enjoy. Love how the pork ribs and smoked duck tasted, tender without being too mushy. Great to be taken on its own, or with the accompanying sauces, I could not get enough of it. I was impartial to the squid though, as I felt it was a tad too 'fishy' for my palate.

A huge bed of New Zealand lamb meat - 3 piece set Lamb Cutlet (RM 28.00) and the 2 set of Lamb Chop (each set of Lamb Chop at RM 20.00)
A huge bed of New Zealand lamb meat - 3 piece set Lamb Cutlet (RM 28.00) and the 2 set of Lamb Chop (each set of Lamb Chop at RM 20.00)

Ah, finally a meaty dish which fit my tastebuds perfectly. It was to be a huge bed of New Zealand lamb meat - 3 piece set Lamb Cutlet (RM 28.00) and the 2 set of Lamb Chop (each set of Lamb Chop at RM 20.00), all laid out nicely for our picking. Now this dish is really good, in the sense that there were no strong lamb aftertaste, instead we had a tender, slighly salty all natural grilled meat texture and flavour. Served with barbecue sauce and black pepper sauce at the side, I actually had no need for any sauce to enjoy the meat that evening.
