It was a cheesy affair last weekend, Anchor cheese to be exact where a couple of us drove down to Malacca to try out three new creations by Yeast Pastry House using Anchor's product. We arrived at Yeast Pastry House in Melaka just in time to catch the tea-time crowd, and I must say the bakery is one very popular spot judging from the crowd inside. They provide a wide range of delectable cake, bread, buns, and dessert style pastries, everything sweet. Inside there's a small corner with future plans in place to make it a cafe.

The delectable cream cheese indulgences include Kaien Chizu Tart, Winter Magma and Karui Snow Cake which were created by Fonterra’s own in-house patisserie chefs using Anchor Cream Cheese, and other Anchor products such as Anchor Cream, Anchor Butter and Anchor Cheese Slices. Introducing the three new creations, Karui Snow Cake, Kaien Chizu Tart and Winter Magma |
Kicking off the Anchor Say Cheese Campaign at RT Pastry in Subang Jaya recently, Linda Tan, Head of Fonterra Foodservices said that the campaign would allow consumers to have a taste of signature desserts featuring Anchor products exclusively.
“Through this initiative, we wanted more people to get a taste of scrumptious desserts made mainly of Anchor products with the Anchor Cream Cheese as the key ingredient. The desserts also include the use of Anchor Cream, Anchor Butter and Anchor Cheese Slices. What you will get is a consistent taste of quality that Anchor is renowned for,” she said.

We got to try out all three that afternoon at Yeast Pastry House |
The signature desserts took months to create and to perfect. They are favourites in line with current world dessert trends whereby Korean and Japanese inspired desserts are all the rave. Some of the desserts feature a dash of sea salt to bring out the creaminess of Anchor Cream Cheese.

Kaien Chizu Tart - Sea Salt Cream Cheese Tart (RM12 for 2pcs) |

Must-try |
The Kaien Chizu Tart in particular, is a sea salt cream tart with a rich cream cheese filling, topped with melted sliced cheese. The distinct taste of sea salt complements the tart’s luscious cheesy flavour. I love the creamy goodness of the Anchor cream cheese used inside, coupled with the crunchy outer crust, this is my favourite of the three new creations.

Winter Magma - Chocolate Souffle with cream cheese (RM18 per box) |

I could gobble up one whole delectable piece on my own |
Chocolate lovers will enjoy the Winter Magma, which is a melt-in-your-mouth chocolate soufflé. It has a cream cheese centre and is simply divine. It can be taken chilled, or just heat it up for that melt in your mouth sensation. I personally preferred the hot version. Yummy stuff.

Karui Snow Cake - Vanilla Chiffon with Mango Passion Cream Cheese (RM18 per box) |

Have a piece, you will like it. |
The Karui Snow Cake on the other hand, is fruity and fresh. Topped with a buttery almond crumble, the petit vanilla chiffon cake is light and delicate with mango passion cream cheese filling. Love the zest that the mango flavour give to this delectable sweet offering.
