New Philips Shaver Series 9000 Launched In Malaysia

Tha latest and greatest from Philips shavers line-up was launched recently. I had the opportunity to catch the launching event over at PJ Hilton the other day, where the new space age Philips Shaver Series 9000 is unveiled amidst some rather high tech space theme. Check out some pictures of the event as well as the shaver that I managed to capture below. 

New Philips Shaver Series 9000 Launched In Malaysia

Philips recognises that when it comes to shaving, men face the same challenge every day, getting as close a shave as possible. With this in mind, Philips has partnered with pioneering commercial space travel experts, XCOR Space Expeditions to test their latest electric shaving technology in Zero-G environment to find out if they can get a close shave even in space. The result is the Philips Shaver series 9000, the most advanced shaver yet, which delivers a close shave anywhere without compromising on comfort, control or choice.

At the launch, we were introduced to the shavers by Muhammad Ali Jaleel, Country Manager for Philips Group of Companies in Malaysia and General Manager, Consumer Lifestyle for Philips Malaysia as well as Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, Malaysia's first astronaut who actually shaved his stubble for us live.

At the touch of a button, they have these unique SmartClean system which cleans, dries, charges and lubricates the Philips Shaver series 9000 so it shaves like a new shaver, every time. Personal comfort settings allow men to adjust the shaver to suit their skin and hair type for optimal comfort.

Not to be left out, I took the opportunity to test out the shaver there and then, at the launch event itself. It was a pretty good feeling, as I've never felt my chin being so smooth in a long while!
